Yeah, last mining craze there were several pictures of gpu hoarding. Just to incite rage.

Thankfully I make enough money that I don't have to worry about that kind of shite, too much work to make money that way.

Feel the exact same way. Its pennies on a dollar to me. An extra $500 a month is nice but $500 is much less than my day rate, not wasting my free time on that BS.

No man. You have a kid right? So on your off time you rather spend time with your family, not waste time setting up to have 1-2months of good profits mining.
The noise is the biggest issue. I had to move mine to the garage in 2013 but then it got a little too for them in there. It is cruise control once the setup if running stable as a whole and you are in a routine, just rather do other stuff with my time. Because as an adult, it really is pennies on the dollar unless you have a huge assortment of hardware.

You know what really is elitist now?
Microsoft Surface line. I want a Surface Pro but fckk, the pen and keyboard does not come with it anymore! You have to spend like $250 extra just for the basics. That is some BS stuff.

Did you keep both your pinkies lifted off of the keyboard when you typed that?

And they're still selling $800 base models with 4GB of RAM.

Yeah that is joke. 4GB isn't enough to support chrome with all extensions.
So I was going to get the new iPad but want to use a pen. Well you need to buy the Pro for pen use. Fckk all these products.

Just bought a Steam Link from the Steam sale. Anyone have any experience or tips when using it?

It's great if for a 1080p living room streamer. I used mine pretty often until I decided to build an HTPC and went 4k TV

Pretty much exactly what I'd be using it for. For Single Player games mostly, although I've heard its not too bad for light multiplayer as well.
I had planned on doing a watercooled 4k build this summer, but I have decided to push it off because of financial reasons.
I'll be sticking with 1080p for a little while longer.

Yeah I love it. The early days at launch had been a little rough but they have come a long way.
1080p gaming is all you need for living room gaming when you play at that distance. If you want to improve quality of Stream visit the forums, a lot of simple "hacks" where you just edit txt files and upload via USB.
Remember, WIRED is the only way to go. Unless your router is in LoS with like 0 interference.
Its a great purchase, enjoy man!

If you want to game in another room, it works great. Just don't buy the controller.
