Rose "sounds" prepared to miss the entire season

Derrick Rose admits missing the Chicago Bulls' showdown against the Miami Heat on Wednesday was tough, but he also sounded more like a guy prepared to miss the whole season with a torn ACL.
"Just taking my time and that’s about it," Rose said. "Been the same way for a couple months now.
"Like I said, it’s in God’s hands. Every day, I’m waking up just trying to be the best player and produce every time I step on the court. Who knows when?"
Rose has continued practicing and scrimmaging with the Bulls and believes there will not be a mental hurdle he will need to pass should he decide to make his return next season.
"Not at all," Rose said. "I know the confidence I have in myself and what type of player I am. When I step on the court, I know I’m going to be better. So I’m not worried about that."

Are all gay guys as much of a pussy as Rose?

Every player should take their time and come back when they are physically and mentally capable of doing so.
However, it does seem a bit ridiculous that he's been cleared to play (right?) for awhile now and isn't playing.

Damn shame as a healthy Rose & Noah would immediately become the biggest threat to the Heat in the East. Oh well maybe next year. I mean, depending on how "God’s hands" are feeling.

If I could have a year of doing nothing I would take it too

If I was Bulls management, I would be really pissed at this guy.

He's been practicing and scrimmaging 5-on-5 for over a month now.

All injuries are different and not one of us really know just how healthy his knee may or may not be.
That being said, based on other DRose Knee threads, he's getting a free pass by so many MSBers that other, less likeable players, would never and have never gotten.

If doctors are saying his knee is not at any extra risk of further injury AND the pain isn't unbearable, but he's still not coming back, then it's a problem.
Is it that way? None of us really know.

How long can he sit out after being medically cleared to play before da bulls get litigious?

If it were 1 year, they're probably not saying too much. If he has 5 years left, they're probably a little less worried about his feelings lol.

I think he has the right to come back when he feels comfortable on his surgically repaired knee. I also think everyone has the right to call him a pussy for not coming back once he is was medically cleared.

My post was directed at all of the posters saying the Bulls have very little chance this season, so they may as well just sit him out. That is ridiculous IMO.
The Heat are 1 injury away from being very beatable. You never know, and if he can go at be somewhere near 100% with no risk of further injury, there is no excuse to not be out there IMO.
I just think it's silly guys were saying that while the MSB was absolutely crushing Jay Cutler, who actually tried and wanted to play through an injury in a much more violent game, but was pulled by his coaches and team doctors.
