I was parking in the Hayfield lots a few years ago and saw a Z tearing arse in that little strip of woods in the middle. Everyone was thinking wtf until we saw a coyote run out with the truck tailing in. Funniest thing I have seen in a while.

See if you can get ahold of a rooster that nobody wants (animal shelter or democrat down the road).

Stake him out about 35 yards from the treeline on a heavy duty 5 foot string tied to one leg.

If Wile E. is in the neighborhood, he can't resist a live chicken out in the open like that.

I nailed lots of yotes as a kid like that.

Bow hunting in Miss. Had a doe and yearling run under me followed by one coyote then saw about 4 or 5 running about 50 yards away up on a ridge, couple of minutes later heard the yearling screaming. Tried to get a shot on the lead coyote but it was running to fast..

My in-laws had their boston terrier get killed by a coyote in their neighborhood. The dog got out 1 night and my father in law come home for lunch the following day and found his bones and skin in the road down the street. That night he shot 3 coyotes! They live near Bayou Black

I saw one in my neighborhood last week walking GSP... was lurking in an area in our common area where cats like to hang out....

High Tailed it when he spotted GSP....

When my catahoula was a puppy I let him out to go pee before bed. He was milling around in the yard and I was sitting on the porch when this coyote comes high tailing it out of the darkness towards my pup. I barely had enough time to yell and jump off the porch before he got to him. Luckily he peeled off before he got my dog.

and only time I have seen more than 2 is momma with young uns

Me and a buddy used to do a lot of calling in the winter in New Mexico. There were a bunch of times when we would set up a call where we would each shoot at a coyote. Sometimes there were more than just two. We usually killed large pups. There were so many people out there that called, once they answered a call, you would hardly ever get them to come again. We used see the "experienced" ones sit out there about 500 yards and bark.

Method 1
I have heard of some people soaking spunges in chicken blood and the the coyote will eat it and not be able to pass it and that will kill em

Method 2
I have also heard of people soaking a wood plank in blood and also putting razors in the wood and the coyote will lick the board cause of the taste and smell of blood and continue to lick while it cuts there tounge because they can still tast the blood and that will ultimatly kill em.

I have never done either of these, seems inhumane but if one killed my dog i believe i would would the most inhumane revenge

that's my point... poisoning them is a poor option - the wrong animal getting to the poison can have life altering effects....

also camo up good and hide good. they are smarter than you think "if you have never done it before" they will always circle down wind, they will be very cautious. and if you are using a call thats in your hand or lap stop it soon as you get a visual on the coyote because they will nail you fast and be out. and if doing it at night use a red lense on your light, you can kill them as easy in the afternoon or morning also

This is best advice here if your gonna shoot em. They hunt at dusk and dawn in packs. They see hella good so its best if you can have one person shooting and one person calling. Hide in a bush if you can. They are sneaky little bastards. Had a pack kill one of my dogs out behind my house. They were all circled up around her and whichever one was behind her would shoot in and take a shot at her. I scared em off but they had punctured her lungs. I put her down. Kill em all!
