I don't know much, but I like most of what I've heard .. probably have a chance to go see him in a few weeks.

Anyone seen a show?

I saw him at voodoo fest a few years back. wasn't bad. wasn't good. passed the time until RHCP came on stage. best parts where when he sang his dad's songs. he fricked up City of New Orleans and had to start over.

I think he would be better if he decided what type of music he wants to play. Rock, country or southern rock. its kind of a mix and none of it really stands out imo.

He has a few cuts I like. His version of I'm a long way from home is superb. The letter is probably my favorite shooter track.

Regarding 4th of July, I can't hear that song without instantly becoming happy or happier than I already am

I saw him open for DBT. He was there. Neither good nor bad, and he made no lasting impression.

One of his newer ones "long road ahead" acoustic in the radio station, pretty good.

Daddy's Hands, Lonesome Blues, and 4th of July are all great songs. Would jump at a chance to see him locally, personally.

His best song by far IMO. He doesn't really have another on that level. Hell there was a line out of that song that was my sig quote for a while

Seen him at Rabb's a time or two. He's no Hank 3 or Jason Boland, but put on a good show

Him and Jamey Johnson are best listening to in the car.

Not a fan of his live show at all, he barely plays the stuff that got him known and he has this spaceman set he liked to play for 40 minutes of an hour set.

Go and have fun, but don't have any expectations, just take it for what it is at that moment.

Shooter has some pretty awesome stuff

Electric Rodeo (especially Going to Carolina, Little White Lines)

The Wolf

All great albums. It's for when you want to turn up the volume and raise some hell

Did you even pay attention to what album he was on tour to support? If you saw him during his tours for Black Ribbons, it would have been silly to expect a full country show.

I think Shooter Jennings is flat out awful. Can't sing, can't play, can't write a song worth a fiddely frick. I think if his name was Shooter Smith he'd be sweeping up around the gas pumps at the Pilot truckstop. And Hank III would be his night shift relief. Just MHO.

Nothing to see here, folks. Just your typical OT troll unhappy with her sex life.
