Started using it about a year ago. I substitute it for olive oil, in cooking, now. Wonderful taste for omelettes, sauteed vegetables, fish, etc. I get the Nutiva, from Amazon. It's pure, and flavorful. The refined is tasteless.

I like it... It's nice not to get the olive oil flavor sometimes.
As a side note, I want to try cooking with ghee too.

I've been using it to cook eggs. And I've used it to cook chicken. I love it.

I read somewhere that it's the secret to movie theatre popcorn at home. Haven't tried it though. Not a fan of popcorn.

Years ago my family had popcorn wagons and we used coconut oil. Man, that was good popcorn from a big kettle.

Try grape seed oil...much higher smoke point. Makes excellent fries with a little duck fat.

I use it to sautee bok choi with a little garlic.
Works very well and imparts a nice smoothe flavor.

I am also Paleo for lent and have been using it.
You can get a big thing of it at Costco (probably Sam's too). I don't even usually taste much of a difference because I don't use a whole lot to grease a pan for cooking or something.

I love coconut oil to cook and to add to recipes. I also put it on my face at night and a small amount on my legs after I shower. Does great things for your skin.
