Momma's Daddy worked for the railroad, delivered newspapers, and worked at a cannery. He was also a justice of the peace and a deacon in the church. Her mother was a seamstress.

Dad's folks were school teachers. His father was also a sheriff's deputy and a coach.

Mom's side- Grandfather owned a grocery store and shrimp platform jointly with his brothers but he died when my mom was young and his brothers took over everything leaving my grandmother with nothing.

Father's side- Grandfather owned a shipyard (he died two years ago). My Father runs it now and i work there as well.

Moms side- farmers in Evangeline parish.

Dads side- sharecroppers.

Paternal-- grandpaw worked for the railroad.
Grandmaw stayed at home. Never drove a car
in her life.

Maternal-- grandpaw was warehouse/ delivery manager
for a major store in NOLA. He was in a bad
Car accident as a young man where a couple
Of people were killed, never drove again the
Rest of his life.
Grandmaw-- stay at home mom, although
She didd work for the US Navy during the
40's. She did the driving.

Mother's side - Sugar cane farming in the St. Martinville. My mother is the youngest daughter of 10 children.

Father's side - Gramps retired from the military and did odd jobs post retirement. By odd jobs this mostly consisted of chasing women, getting drunk and alienating himself from his family. My old man is the youngest son of 3 children.

maternal grandma -house wife
Paternal grandfather -owned grocery in Monroe
Paternal grandma ran grocery
All 4 from italy

Paternal:
G'pa was in the air force. also was a firefighter
G'ma worked as a nurse.

Maternal:
G'pa owned his own drywall/sheetrock/paint company
G'ma cooked and cleaned. dont know if she ever worked. probably did some work for g'pa

Maternal: Owned and operated a supermarket in Chauvin, LA. Still in the family

Paternal: GF had a few different jobs, GM was a nurse and baked wedding cakes

Both sides, farmers/retired and sold farms in late 50's & 60's, both located in Southern Ontario, Canada. My two older sisters and I were U.S. citizens before our parents became citizens.

Paternal:
PowPow - Retired USAF, served in Korea, built battlefield models for CENTCOM in New Mexico. Then moved home and worked as a Mechanical Engineer for NOLA Sewerage and Waterboard. Passed away last July
MowMow: Owned/Operated Beauty Salon. Passed away when I was 5. Rumor has it her Pops was in mafia, fled Sicily under Mussolini.

Maternal:
G'paw: never met/don't know. Gambler. Passed away when mom was teen
G'maw: never met/stay at home mom. Passed away when mom was kid.
