Paw paw: general contractor
Maw maw: nothing

Maternal
Paw paw: owned bar and grocery store
Maw maw: helped around bar and grocery store

pawpaw- owned a few funeral parlors and gas stations/convenience stores

mawmaw- bank clerk

Maternal-

pawpaw- coal miner

mawmaw- teacher

Mom's father welded for ICG, mother was a nurse.
Dad's parents ran a small business that I still own and operate.

Mom's side: grandfather farmed in Nela
Grandmother was a homemaker.

Dad's side: grandfather was an underwater welder in S. America in the 40's then opened a farm equipment dealership in Nela after that.
Grandmother did some book keeping.

Maternal: WWII Vet to Sheriff, farmer and horseman.

Paternal grandpa, merchant marine, WWII Air Corps vet, TransOcean engineer, worked in Brazil, Scotland, Canary Islands, marine Captain

Maternal grandpa, ran gin in St Joe for ALOT of years.

Neither grandmother worked outside the home

I'm pretty sure it never ends on both sides.

My great great grandfather settled on the land we now farm. All were farmers

We don't go that far back on one place. We are nomads. My paternal grandfather has farmed in Southern Arkansas, around Baton Rouge, North Arkansas, and Mississippi.

one did cotton, cattle and timber while granny helped the black ladies that lived on the place to cook for the field hands..

one was in the concrete business while granny ran a business..

My Dad's father has done several things. He owns/owned the Candlelite in Port Allen, a grocery store, hardware store, restaurant, and furniture store all here in BR. He also owns several rent houses and apartment complexes. My grandma stayed at home with the kids.

My moms parents were awful people that we don't speak to, I think my moms dad worked for the state or something.

Gramps owned a butcher shop in Lutcher. Grammaw worked at raising 8 kids and was the most awesome cook ever".
