On both sides they were oilfield toolpushers that ended up starting their own drilling companies, failed, and kept at it in other capacities.

Dads side grandpaw: worked the family owned sawmill until he served in WWII then kaiser aluminum in gramercy.
Moms side: WWII out of high school then Avondale shipyard,retired then went back as a welding teacher

Grandpas- millwright and one was a barber in army and then opened his own shop....grandmas-teacher at SCB and sears roebuck

Everyone on my mom's side were/are farmers in Shelby Mississippi.

His ID checking was lacking. I waltzed into that place when I was 16. Bought 3 beers and saw plenty tittays before they caught on. The bouncer was even impressed enough with my guts that he let me finish by beer before escorting me out.

maternal-he was a shrimper of the Ms gulf coast, grandma didnt work

fraternal- he owned a oil company(at least that is what he called it.) it was kind of like stone oil, but over in gulfport. grandma was a cook at the prison in gulfport

Maternal- Farmer, mow mow raised the kids

Fraternal-Raised honey bees, farmed, duck hunted all winter and sold all the down. Mow Mow raised the kids.

Simpler times and actually since my dad has retired he has started the honey bee operation up again.

Moms paw started chisesi brothers.
Dads was adjutant general if the louisiana national guard.

paternal granddad was an architect and paternal grandma was a housewife.

maternal grandfather ran a gas station and maternal grandmother was a nurse.

Maternal GF - Farmer, fought in WWI in the artillery, postmaster.

Paternal GF - Electrician for Ford in one of their Detroit plants, moved to Kansas City as one of the Ford plants converted to bomber production for WWII. Continued at that plant with car production after the war.

Maternal GM - Farming all her life.

Paternal GM - Worked for AT&T.

Mother's side: I have no idea what her dad did. Her mother was a teacher

Father's side: His father fought in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. His mother-I have no idea.

Never met any of them

Paternal:
paw paw pete - fire brick contractor
Nanny had a beauty shop

Paw paw - drove a bus for the NOLA Public Service for 35 years after WWII
Maw maw - housewife I think

Maternal
Grandpa - Instrumentation at various places from New York to NOLA, including Kaiser, Lockheed, NASA, and Mobil in Chalmete after the Airforce
Grannie - Tax preparer for 30 years
