Kudos to the posters here who've mentioned this dish. Because of you, I opted to try it for my lunch, and I wasn't disappointed.

I get it. I just don't know why restaurants opt for that choice. It isn't hard to parboil fresh produce and have it ready for a quick sautee and make that plate even better.

They look lumpy so probably not. That plate looks good except for the beans.

No, actually I think they do that, or somewhat in house.

I've had that and that was my number one complaint. I love really good green beans, and it just boggles my mind how a place that hops it's own fries will pour a can of canned green beans on a plate. The rest of the meal was pretty good, but the great beans just made me think they didn't really want to cross the finish line even though they ran a good race.

Canned Green Beans/Corn are Traditional in every West Texas Cafe. They are there only for "Plate Appeal".

Hericot vert are awesome. Parboiled, shocked in ice water and a quick sautee with butter and garlic would make that dish sing. A little lemon zest for acidity. And it would be great.

Is this the place on Poland in the Bywater?

I didn't think they had CFS.

Nope.

I dislike them. I hate crunchy beans. And as much as I love most green veggies, fresh green beans taste too green lol

No. Baton Rouge. I have actually eaten there and enjoyed what I had. Fried catfish and jambalaya.
