THE OHIO STATE PRESIDENT GORDON GEE TO ADDRESS LSU TRANSITION ADVISORY TEAM TUESDAY
The Ohio State University President E. Gordon Gee will address LSU’s Transition Advisory Team Tuesday, March 5, in the Abell Board Room of the Lod Cook Alumni Center. The Transition Advisory Team will meet from 4 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and it will be available by live streaming video. The Transition Advisory team, a 10-member panel tasked with providing information to the LSU Board of Supervisors to facilitate the reshaping of the LSU System, is meeting for the fourth time. The team held its first meeting on Jan. 8, an Immersion Workshop on Feb. 7, and its third meeting on Feb. 19.
Gee is serving his second term as president of Ohio State, joining the university in 2007 after previously serving as president there from 1990 to 1998. As chief executive officer, he oversees Ohio State’s six campuses, 65,000 students, and 48,000 faculty and staff. Gee is widely considered one of the most highly experienced and respected leaders in higher education, having been named by Time Magazine as one of the top 10 university presidents in the country in 2009.
In addition to his service at Ohio State, he led Vanderbilt University from 2001 to 2007, Brown University from 1998-2000, the University of Colorado from 1985 to 1990 and West Virginia University from 1981 to 1985.
I was thinking about going just to boo him

For what?

Because I don't like Ohio State
His handling of the OSU scandal
His views on the Rose Bowl and a college football playoff
Because he allowed the hiring of Urban Meyer

So when are they planning to have this thing fully completed? If they can fund it that is
I would think they shoot for 2018, and then add 2-4 years on top of that for actual completion date

Hurricane Mike I live out of state, how much would you charge me to boo him once for me?

This has nothing to do with sports. The man is one of the most respected University Presidents around. He's coming to help us. Booing him is completely ignorant and this thread is worthless.

The ohio state president is not coming here to talk about football... you do know the university is MUCH more than football, right?

Yeah, the man who ceded control of The Ohio State University to the head football coach is a great example of leadership.

This.
I plan on watching via live stream. I hope he gives LSU a clear direction on the best way to realign the university. I would love for LSU to become a UNC/Michigan/Texas

I could be wrong, but during his time at Vanderbilt he eliminated some admin positions in sports. Like the AD.

Please! This has as much chance of happening as the chance of you having wild sex with Kate Upton.

Gee actually eliminated the entire athletic dept. It is now part of some division within the university. I believe they are the only D1 school without an athletic dept.
Seems to be working for them.

All football reasons...
I love college football as much as anyone else, but i fail to see how him speaking at this event correlates to anything football related.

Those who would consider booing are classless and probably lead horrible lives

And yet OSU is still one of the top Public Universities out there in many disciplines... too many of you have blind loyalty and hatred based on football alone... act a little more mature.

Actually....LSU has made a lot of strides since 1999.
Defeatist attitudes like yours are not needed.

You're right. The entire athletic department was eliminated and placed under the Dept. of Student Life. His wife was also well known for frequently smoking pot in the president's mansion.

I don't think he should be boo d but
IT DOES SUCK
Knowing there is a real good chance that Ohio and bama will play for a MNC due to their pathetic schedules next year.
I would put it at about 90%
