Hold up. The roaring forks was open??
I was just there two weeks ago and there was no snow and the road to that trail was closed. I have been to Rainbow and Grotto before but didn't want to add the eight miles to the trip with roaring forks trail closed.

Nice pics. I always liked hiking after a snow, you would see animal prints everywhere yet few animals.
Thought my 35mm batteries had died once, turned out to be the shutter was frozen shut.
