Where would you put them?
I didn't know if Concordia was NE. I'm form SELA so it's all north to me

Yea, I wasnt considering the same parishes he is. Didnt see the map if that what were going by. Not very proportional size wise.

well a smiling jack is a spoonie, but i know what youre saying. NELA doesnt just harbor mallards though, there are a ton of pintails, widgeon, wood ducks etc killed.
I honestly think the River parishes should be their own section.

but you cant deny that the Northeastern part section of the stated doesnt harbor the largest herd of trophy deer and massive deer (body size)
I respectfully disagree

Exactly, the Mississippi continues down south. It doesn't stop at the Tensas line.

South, because I'm an avid saltwater fisherman. The rest I can take or leave.

No ducks in Central LA delta so don't even bother

Which is why i said the river parishes should be their own section. They are really nothing like the other parishes when it comes to hunting. And until looking at that map, i didnt realize how far east into the state Avoyelles was. It seems you have a strong pride for your hunting area, as do i

I would agree with this. NELA would have an arguement as to having the best duck hunting and freshwater fishing at times. However, it's very rain/river level/ other factors dependant.
I still have to say SWLA would be the best duck hunting based on numbers but they can have it. I'd much rather hunt mallards in the timber.

by the map I posted, my rankings would be:
1) Central
2) SE
3) NE
4) SW
5) NW

Luckily our respective vehichles don't have to stop at Salmon's boundries and we can rape and pillage all parts of the state equally. And in my case, ease across the big muddy and drop a nuke on Mississippi's wild game herd as well.

You ever killed anything bigger than an 8pt in SWLA? Trophy deer hunting is universally the most important to southern hunters. And if its ducks, mallards are universally the trophy bird... Again, NELA
I understand the deer hunting is not as good. I guess i was thinking from an outdoorsman standpoint.
You can kill deer
You can kill ducks
You can kill specklebellies & snows
You can kill snipe
You can kill squirrels
You can kill rabbits
You can kill hogs
You can tag out on gators
You can catch bass, perch, etc
You can catch reds, specks, flounder
You can catch crabs
You can catch shrimp
You can go offshore
Drive 45 miles north and kill turkeys.
Basically if there is a season or limit you can do in SWLA.
That was the point i was making. We all know NELA kills big deer and shoots greenheads.

fify. you just want concordia and catahoula to help make your case. Even though they are more like the NELA parishes in every facet.

SO the middle wins because its closest to all the best shite in the other quadrants? lol ok

The duck hunting between NLA and SWLA is a push. The south has the fishing and the north has the deer.

I was just going by geographic location. I'm sorry NELA can only muster a bronze.
