Plenty of diversity as far as game is concerned. Arguably the best of any type hunting except for turkeys. And you can kill turkey in all 3. Great fresh water fishing as well with all the Oxbows, Mississippi river and whatnot. Paradise mane.

It all depends what you value most.

For me. I wasn't to stay close to the gulf. I don't mind driving 2-3 hours to the deer camp.

And we still have good hunting

see if I'm looking for the best area for an outdoorsman, I'm going for the most diverse area, not just the area with the best of the most popular activity

Ok, but a large percentage of outdoorsman in this country arent big into salt water fishing. Thats pretty restricted to the coastal areas. But a large percentage like to hunt trophy whitetail and fat mallards. And NELA isnt diverse just because they arent coastal?... Well neither is CENLA

they aren't big into saltwater fishing because it is not available to them

never said Cenla had saltwater, although it is closer

but excluding saltwater, Cenla does have more diversity, also more public land, which I feel is being overlooked

by Salmon's map, Southeast.

offshore fishing- hands down winner
inshore fishing- hands down winner
bass fishing- hands down winner
sac a lait- plenty to catch
this area has the most water in the state. it has probably 85% of the marsh. you can fish a different spot for trout everyday for the rest of your life and not touch half of them. You can fish a different spot for bass everyday of your life and not hit half of them. It also has almost all the barrier islands and more oil rigs than you can fish. The only downside to fishing in this section of the state there is not a good reservoir. oh yea, I almost forgot, the Mississippi runs through it.

Hunting
duck- do you really think another area kills more?
Deer- plenty. the biggest? maybe, there are some monsters killed in EF, WF, PC, WBR, and ST. Landry. Probably second to North East though.
Turkey- not the best

Tigers- the only place to see them.
