What's your single best sports moment?

What's your single best sports moment of all time? This is not a season or game, but the one single best sports moment you've ever experienced. For me it was the final play of the 1987 Game 7 World Series. As a lifelong Minnesota sports fan, it was the first championship in any major sport. After four Super Bowl losses by the Vikings, I thought I'd never see a championship by a Minnesota team. After Gary Gaetti's throw to Kent Hrbek, I went absolutely crazy.

for me personally?
Playing the number 2 team in the state in basketball in our last game of the season my senior year. Huge underdogs, and we beat the everliving shite out of them. our center was knocking down shots from like 10ft out, it was glorious

Coming back from a 6 cup deficit and forcing OT with a redemption shot. Ended up winning.

I cried.

2005 Champions League Finals - Shevchenko misses penalty in PK.
2002 NFC Championship Game - Ronde Barber pick 6 on McNabb when it looked like the Eagles were going to come back on their last drive.

In my personal playing days it was when we played the #2 ranked team in a high school basketball tournament and I was pulled out of the game for the entire second half for being a little pussy and not diving after the loose ball with 10 seconds left in the first half. My coach put me in with 30 seconds left and I hit the game winning 3. Best personal sports moment of mine. If we're talking overall then saints superbowl for sure

Jarvis Moss blocking South Carolina's potential game-winning field goal in 2006. Loudest I've ever personally heard the Swamp get.

It's hard for me between 3 things.
1 would have to be the 2003 national championship. It was mine (and many tiger fans) first football championship and it was great to be on top
2 2007 national championship because I was at the game and went to ever game but 2 road games.
3 Lebron winning his first championship last year. I was more excited than when we won the 9-6 game

Final play of the Rose Bowl when Vince Young carried Texas to the BCS title over USC.
I sadly say that over LSU's two titles during the 2000s because of pure shock value. I went nuts on that final play.

2010 Olympic Gold Medal Game, winning in overtime. Crosby played awful the entire Olympics and redeemed himself in one moment.
In fact the entire Olympics were pretty amazing. On home soil and we absolutely dominated.

Recovering a fumble on my 5th grade team, setting up our touchdown. We only scored one TD that season, and it was partly because of me!

In Person: 2010 Iron Bowl, Newton to Lutzenkirchen.
On TV: 2008 Champions League final. Terry off the post, followed by van der Sar's mind games with Anelka for the win.

Personal? Rushing the field my last game as a student at A&M against Nebraska in 2010 and randomly running into my little brother who was a walk on for the football team that year. Sang the Aggie War Hymn one last time on Kyle Field with him on one side, my fiancee on the other, and the 12th Man all around (largest crowd ever at Kyle Field, and also set a record for highest student attendance nationally). I cried afterwards. Tears of joy, though.
Professionally? The 2005 NBA Finals, games 5 and 7. Game 5, Robert Horry hit the game winning three in OT, and SA held on to win a wild game 7. Elation and relief all rolled into one right there.

Personally, I have two that come to mind from high school.
My first full wrestling season. Top three in district go to state. I was wrestling my way through the consolation bracket. I was in the semis. Wrestling a guy I lost to earlier in the year from a bigger school (our wrestling program was measly, but my coach was amazing). I was down 3 points and hit my move that I was known for. It was kind of a Peterson roll. I reversed him and hit him for a three point near fall. Making it a 5 point move and put me on top. I had him pinned but they didn't call it. We went out of bounds and had to reset. I held on to win and move to wrestle for third and fourth place. I lost but it was still an accomplishment to finish 4th in the toughest district in state my first year. Damn I miss wrestling.
Second one was senior year baseball. District tournament. My coach finally wasn't DHing for me for first time in forever. But I go 0-3 with three strikeouts. Get pinch for and put back in. I come up and my coach couldn't sub me again or I'd be burned on defense. My twin brother is one second base. I'm facing the pitcher who has sat me down three times. We're tied up. I drill one up the middle to send my brother home for the winning run. We close it out the next inning and win on my hit.
I could go on and on about wrestling matches. Those stick with me. Once hit a standing granby for a pin. I'll post a video of the move. It's pretty insane looking.
