I never could get into Pucifer.
I really didn't until I saw them live last year... Huge fan now
Live changes everything with Puscifer. I'm really liking the track "Dear Brother" from the EP that dropped this week. Plus the title is just great.
Sample Here on Amazon

Dear Brother and Breathe are both solid...
When I first bought Conditions of My Parole, I listened and I honestly thought "WTF" to half of the songs, but after seeing them live, it completely opened my eyes.

Granted, I'm a bit of fanboy, but I think the Puscifer stuff is ahead of it's time. I suspect people will find it 10 years down the line and realize what they missed.
I could have done without the Bohemian Rhapsody cover, but it's done quite well. Apparently they wanted to do a remix of it, but the song license prohibited it.
I saw them in '09 in Houston and I was sold. Live was so much different. Plus they did a lot of things totally differently. Half the set list was done in a country style...and it worked. The audience was full of Tool fans acting like tools though. I think they thought they were going to see a Tool show.

Hell yeah... Its hard to explain.
After seeing it live, with the backdrop, and videography they use, they make more sense.
Like Cajuns said, I caught onto them because of Maynard and the first tracks I heard were "Man Overboard" and "Conditions of My Parole"... I thought the latter was a good song, so figured I'd grab the album. When I first listened, I skipped through about 75% of it except for "Conditions" "Telling Ghosts" and "Green Valley"... I thought everything else was weird and skipped right over it.
Now, my favorites are "Tiny Monsters" "Monsoons" "Horizons" and "Tumbleweed"
ETA: You have to take it for what it is and realize its not TOOL or APC... Its a completely different line of thinking from MJK. More of a spiritual, part of the earth thinking. Has a lot to do with his Vineyard in Arizona over the years.

So tonight... If I was going to d/l and album which one would be a must get first? Talking Pucifer

Mer De Noms is a great piece of work and a good collaboration between Billy and Maynard. I wish these two would work more together because they can make some great music.

Each of them has some great stuff on it and I would hate for you to DL one and not like it, then not give the other tracks a chance.
I'll list my personal favorite tracks off of each
Well there are only two LPs
V is for Vagina (Dozo, Momma Sed, Vagina Mine)
Conditions of my Parole (Tiny Monster, Monsoons, Horizons, Tumbleweed).... But with this one, I think YOU should listen to (Green Valley, Telling Ghosts, Conditions of my Parole)
The EPs
C is for (Potions and The Humbling River) Listen to Polar Bear if you are open minded.
Donkey Punch the Night (Dear Brother and Breathe)
Each of them has some great stuff on it and I would hate for you to DL one and not like it, then not give the other tracks a chance.

I'm a huge fan of all of Maynard's work, APC a little more than Tool. I started getting more into Puscifer not too long ago. I'm not a huge fan of "V" is for Vagina. But I absolutely love Conditions of my Parole. I listen to that album start to finish almost daily at work. So I guess I would recommend that one personally.

A Perfect Circle- By and Down
They have a newish song that they played last tour. I think they have said they plan on making songs for soundtracks and such but no plans for a full-length album.
