Ceratinly a guy who has never screwed with a 45-70 Handi Rifle.

Raise your hand if you know how finicky the damn things are!

Explain....My 45/70 shoots great. I was very impressed and have had no problems. Not saying it shoots as well as my 300 but I havent had any problems out of it.

Yep. My 45/70 shoots good. It is not fun to shoot though.

H&R 45-70 Ultra Hunter (the stainless one with the thumbhole stock), Leupold VX-II, LeverEvolution 325 gr.

From a clean bore....

6 foulers before it will group consitently, then you get about 10-15 more shots out of it before it needs to be cleaned again (groups get loose), and you need to get the 6 foulers thorough it again.

Now, you boys may have a different opinion on accuracy, but it's not a sub-moa rifle IMO.

So, what the MS guy said is patently false. It's not a modern firearm, and doesn't behave as such.
