The book or the food they tell you to eat?
The diet.
He wants you off bi-valves, crustaceans, fish without a backbone or scales, basically any kind of bottom feeding animal.
I follow it for the most part, except crawfish. Nicholas would understand if he ever had them.

Yep. It's FAT CITY
see
you still go by the old ideology that all fat is bad fat
we now know that certain fats are good fats and needed within the body

coconuts without a doubt...just 1 cup of coconut milk contains 51g of saturdated fat, thats 250% of RDA based on a 2000 calories diet. Source(s):
Thank you!!! I realized that there was some reason I threw up when I first tasted coconut at age 8. And have never eaten the crap since then. It was the smell that got me. It said "Zach, this is shite...don't eat it."

BTW, the most unhealthy veggie/fruit is Avacado.
LOL.
It's one of the best things you can possibly put in your body. Rich in fiber and Omega 3s which help burn fat.

It boggles my mind how your generation ate. I don't want to sound disrespectful about the past tense there. It's just that my grandfather fought in WWII. My grandmother fried everything. They got healthier in the 70's and 80's. But my grandfather still dropped dead in his kitchen at 64. He should have had bypass sx, but never did.
It's almost as if the orange juice at breakfast, and the spinach at dinner was all the 'health food' ya'll needed.
I love ya Zach.

Zach, you couldn't be more incorrect. Avocados are very good for you. The oil is a "good" fat. It has a barrage of benefits.
I got my info from the gym where I worked out in the 80s. The owner said it was crap and showed me the data. Mexicans eat Guacomoli. Mexicans are fat.

Check out Perricone's book.
Or have Lucy look at it. It'll help you feel better. Not sure about the look younger part, but that diet definately makes you feel more alive.

Geez, Zach, everything in moderation, my friend, and that logic is, well...

Beer

Water
- basic building block of life
Barley

Barley is particularly rich in trace minerals. A cup of cooked barley provides 36.4 mcg, or micrograms, of selenium, or 52 percent of the DV; and 0.64 mg of copper, or 32 percent of the DV. The University of Delaware reports that selenium, in conjunction with vitamin E, helps protect cell membranes from deterioration and promotes normal thyroid function. Copper helps the body use iron effectively; plays a prominent role in bone and cartilage development; and, like the B vitamins, is needed for energy metabolism.

Hops are also used in herbal medicine to enhance breast milk quality and production.

It's pretty much the only thing one needs to survive.

Yeah, I'm sure that has nothing to do with chips and salsa, tamales or the ungodly amounts of chili sauce , cheese and fast digesting carbs that today's Mexican food contains.
Seriously man, bodybuilders eat avocado every day. So do most healthy people.

It isn't the guacamole that makes them fat
This is an incredibly stupid statement on your part

True. Generally. But I grew up in a house with very little food. We didn't have to worry about fried food. It was more like a Mayo sammich. I graduated from HS at 5-8, 111 pounds. My brother was thinner.

A lot of that is genetics. The one thing I can thank Mom for is that she raised me salt free as an experiment. I have no taste for salt. The idea was to prevent high blood pressure. I have to add it to Lucy's food.

Or flour tortillas that are high in carbs and fat (lard)

I've known lots of body builders. None of them ate avocado as a work out diet. But if you've got a body builder regimen that requires it please post it.
