I didn't think he would make it the first time. I was right. I have no reason to change my mind.

NFL offenses are extremely complicated. Maybe Joe Webb is 10x smarter than Perrilloux? It wouldn't be that hard to do...

Did you see what the Vikes did against them? Crowton ran the same offense with RP in 2007 against Middle Tennessee & Tennessee.

RP's been running the zone-read and short-side option keeper since he was in HS. Beyond that, he's got a cannon for an arm and as a backup was more successful than Webb ever was at the major college level.

They were running an extremely watered down offense for Webb. Do that with RP and you can actually be a threat to run it or throw it. Especially with AD behind him.

He doesn't have the "want"....He's got the physical talent but no "want". He's just desperate for another paycheck cuz he's running out of Purple Drank.

he doesn't have the work ethic. Nor the smarts. Nor the ethics to get smarts or the smarts to get an ethic. It's the roundabout circle of fat that goes around his waist like a tiki tube.

Not a chance. He's already proven to everybody that he doesn't have the mental disclipline to do what's necessary. He got the fat contract, took the money and ran into oblvion as one of the biggest first round/#1 pick busts in NFL history.

The only comeback he's making is maybe coming back for a second round at the local Mickey D's or Burger Whop.

If he were serious about giving it another go, he would have kept up with the physical conditioning. Dude just wants another big NFL paycheck to replace all those millions he's already burned through and wasted.

Why does everyone say this? I'm curious. Plenty of decent QBs have been fairly average (or below) in intelligence. They don't even average the highest scores on the Wonderlic.

I've read this posted twice on this page and heard it from my Chief a couple of months ago. What does his work ethic or his fat arse have to do with his brain. It worked fine for him in college.

The odds are deeply against it.
Who has been in his position and come back?
The odds would be better for someone who got the boot for a criminal episode or even an idnetifiable addiction, than from failure arising out of deep seated personal habits and attributes.
Fat, lazy and not-so-smart is a hard place from which to stage a comeback.

Just not seeing any "hate" on this thread for JR.
In fact, lots of folks seem to be pulling for him.
You read a great deal into the posts that think he will not make it back,LSUcanFan...
