The new Die Hard film apparently absolutely blows

10% on RT
Yeah, this is no real shocker, since it should wave one hell of a red flag to release an entry of debatably the greatest action film series of all time in the middle of February. Was anyone else a little flabbergasted that this wasn't a May or June release? It definitely shows on how much they thought the film sucked.
But man, this apparently blows Die Hard 4 out of the water as far as how terrible it is. Pretty astounding. So do any of you plan to see John McClane kicking arse this weekend, or are you going to follow RT's advice and stay at home?

I saw on the commercial that he says "Yippe ka yay!" again. I guess that's going to be in every one.

He's only said it once per movie, so that's five times. It's not like its played out.

That's too bad, I like Bruce Willis and the Die Hard movies.

I just had a sudden clarity clarence.
The bigger the scope of Die Hard movies has gotten, the worst they have gotten.
1 all in a building = best
2 all in an airport = good
3 clues all around New York = ok
4 FBI New York, Washington = crap
5 Russia = worst
The should have stuck to the small area, instead of going global. It just makes more sense and is more believable what one cop can do in a smaller setting. Also, less CGI, Bay-esque 'splosions.

I don't understand how.
I was able to accept him killing a chopper with a car but when he defeated a fighter jet... man... screw that movie.

It's about as easy to accept as finding the film's central villain using an aspirin bottle.

The series ended for me with Die Hard part 3. That was the last good one.
And I think The Last Boy Scout better than any Bruce Willis movie other than the 1st Die Hard.

Do people really value RT ratings this highly letting them decide what you go see in theaters?
I don't understand how anyone thought this would be anything more than Live Free or Die Hard moved to Russia.
I'll still buy it when it comes out on Blu-ray.

I enjoyed the movie right up until the fighter jet scene. Dumbest shite ever.
