Brother Martin, one of my best friends who I consider my little brother plays for them and is one of, if not, the best sophomores in the state. Plus if BM wins state, he and his sister would both have state titles in soccer
She won one at Dominican in 2011

Jesuit Laffy Jesuit wins 2-0

Lafayette High has scored 15 goals without allowing any so far. Jesuit's total is a big skewed because they scored 11 in their first round game. Lafayette could have put up 11 on John Ehret if they wanted to.

does louisiana have this shite where the players on the developmental academy club teams arent playing high school soccer anymore? pretty fricking gay

Louisiana doesn't have a development academy club team. I think that the closest, to NO anyway, is Birmingham United.

Development Academy teams are sanctioned by USSF and pretty much play year round. Many of the MLS academies are included in this system. It's all a function of our new youth development system.
Unfortunately, many kids have to choose between playing for a development team or their high schools.

when i was in high school, everyone did both. now this year in georgia, they have to choose or some gay shite because of a new rule. i know one kid at my high school that is committed to a D2 school quit the academy to play high school. 2 other kids who are D1 are doing academy and not high school. i think it's a shame because high school soccer is definitely more fun and kids should get to enjoy both.

I think LHS is going to take it this year. They're as strong as they've ever been and the Nola schools are down, at least compared to the Mullins/Cabos era Jesuit

Laffy and SPS havent allowed a goal either BM has only allowed one. Every team has a chance.

This mentality is what is one of the reasons why the US can't produce quality youth system. If we were to rid HS soccer and move only to development academies then you would see a big jump in youth development.
It'll never happen, though.
