Please tell me in your infinite cooking knowledge what it means. The only commentary you ever seem to post on here is to show what an arse you are oh wise one.

Not really but sorta.
You just have to try it or yourself and see.
so does it taste like PB or what?
if it doesnt, why add it?
if it does, why the hell do you want the taste of peanut butter in a gumbo?

This ranks up there with the microwave steak thread for utter mind numbing stupidity. This has to be a troll.

IDk, a chef that's a good friend of a good friend of mine from natchitoches told me to try it at a tailgate yr or so ago, so I did.
Why you mad?
I'm no arse on here nor have ever proclaimed to have any sort of "infinite cooking knowledge",... FWIW you should let grown people fight their battles, even if it is on a message board.
The sooner some of you people realize that you may not have EVERYTHING figured out, most likely the better of youll be.

I am not sure what the peanutbutter would do to the taste, but I would try it!

Excuse me I must be confusing with another TigerLess that was repeatedly described as an asshat in another thread. My first roux was made 46 years ago, so I know absolutely nothing about the concept.

just bc he/she wants to.
Plus I make good suggestions, people listen to me IRL.
Let's not get upset and cry about it.

Saw this coming. I'd give it a taste. You continue to make it, so it can't be too bad and for all I know it may be really good.

Why is anyone getting genuinely upset over this It's bizarre, but the guy talks about it all of the time.. I'd try it, at least.

Did you ever try putting jelly in it too?
Peanut butter and jelly gumbo is he best.

I've tried to speed up the process by using a rotisserie chicken a couple of times and I can always tell the chicken has a different flavor. Not a fan.

The idea of putting peanut butter in roux had to come from ignorance. The saying "peanut butter roux", indicating the color a roux should be, had to have been misinterpreted by some retard who actually put peanut butter in it, and a "look at me, I'm different!" fad was born.

I'm not thinking I'm going to try it, but I'm not the tiniest bit upset about it either.

No it doesn't. The steak thing was a good idea because you boil the steak first-increasing moisture and emulsifying the fat.

Whoa. Back up! OG on the case! I like it. Grrrrr.... I can tell you're all ready for Tiger Baseball to get started. You're all riled up.
Jiggles, seriously, I like my roux the way it is, but if he like his with peanut butter, what's the big deal?
