• When Klinsmann was asked about the U.S.'s difference-makers in Tuesday's press conference, he mentioned Jermaine Jones in the same breath as Dempsey and Bradley. Clearly, Klinsmann considers Jones to be one of the U.S.'s best players, so expect to keep seeing him in the lineup (unless he picks up another yellow-card suspension).
• The U.S. player selected to join Klinsmann at the formal press conference was Bradley, who sounds more and more like a future captain every day.
• The rest of the U.S. players had the chance to speak to media in a mixed zone before Tuesday's training session at the stadium, but Dempsey decided not to speak. Not sure why.
• Kind of a bummer how much security there needs to be here. I never usually stay in the hotel the whole time, but after hearing reports from the U.S. Embassy and getting mugged in Honduras the last time I was here, I'm not taking any chances.

grant is a good journalist, but his voice and meager appearance really throws me off

Bradley is a lock for captain imo

It appears the #usmnt will play a 4-1-3-2 formation. Williams dmid, Jones as LM, Bradley as CM, Zusi as RM. Herc & Dempsey up top

watching jones and fj try and string together some passes on the left side should have good comedic value

I've read his articles for a really long time and just recently seen him on FSC. I felt the same way, something is just off. He always seems to be looking to the right when he faces the camera and he has a unique delivery.

I could fap to this, but we're going to get caught with our pants down at some point. Chandler and Johnson will be up the field, and we'll have Williams and the two CBs caught on a counter.
But, I do like the offensive thought. Might as well not play 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-2-1.... Might as well come out swinging, because Honduras will, too.

I dont see the game on first row. Is that where I should go for it online?

I just pissed that Jurgen doesn't have faith in his midfield to get the ball to the most in form striker we've ever had during a qualifier. Instead we'll get Herculez Gomez running around a bunch without any real shape in our formation.

It really does suck that Altidore isn't getting the start... I hope he gets at least 20 min PT at the end.

i know he has a wife and what not, but he comes off a little fem. however, i wouldn't expect anything less from a soccer fig

Herculez Gomez made a case for Herculez Gomez:
(paraphrased) "It's about forming the best team, not necessarily playing the 11 best players."

In this bitch!!
I agree with y'all about Jozy should be over Herc, but I like the lineup, especially with DW at CDM and Bradley higher up on the pitch. I hope we come out aggressive, and that Jozy gets upwards of 30 mins PT.

What else can Jozy do? Dude is lighting up his club level, getting racial taunts and being professional about it, and is our best talent up top, imo. I understand Herc hustles his arse off, but give Jozy a chance to hustle...
I like the offensive mindset but I really really want Jozy starting.

I think everyone agrees Jozy deserves to start

And I would rather Herc's hustle and energy off the bench late and Jozy getting a majority of the minutes, especially since he doesnt seem to do well off the bench at all

If there's one guy who I trust to get the lineup right (and make the proper adjustments if it's not going well), it's Jurgen.
