Barcadia - New Orleans

decided to walk down to Barcadia today for a Curbside burger. This is a really cool little place. If I lived nearby, I could see myself spending some time here.
For those that do not know, its on T-Chop just south of Poydras (a block down T-Chop from Mothers). Very cool little building with a dozen or so arcade games in the main dining room, 2-3 large "garage doors" that open and close to move air, many local beers on tap, and curbside burgers. I did not go upstairs, but it appears to have an upstairs....I would assume more arcade games. I should have looked around to give a better review - but I didnt.
Had a KGB Burger. Still one of my favorites. Salty bacon and a fried egg on a burger is money.
Website is not updated, still says coming soon - but the kitchen is open! Barcadia New Orleans

No upstairs but there is a room behind the main room with video games... It has another bar and a few more games like air hockey and skee ball... They were closed because of plumbing problems... Guess they fixed them....

Thank God you made this thread. I would have never known this place existed.

Has anyone mentioned that it's a chain?

In general, what constitutes a chain? At what point does it change from a place with multiple locations to a chain? Is anything with more than one location a chain? I'm not trying to debate, just curious what the distinction is.

Chain stores are retail outlets that share a brand and central management, and usually have standardized business methods and practices. Before considered a chain, stores must meet a litmus test, it must have more than 10 units under the same brand and have a central headquarters, otherwise it offers franchise contracts or is publicly traded.

I didn't know there was an actual definition
At any rate, it isn't really a NOLA original
I do like the concept though
Hopefully when they roll out the food it will be New Orleans inspired to give it more of a NOLA flare to it

I didn't know that either. And TBH it's from WikiPedia so take it with a Taceaux Loceaux sized grain of salt.
Are they going to have food other than the Curbside burgers?
Oh and btw for anyone who hasn't been they have some good looking broads slinging drinks behind the bar.

Sounds like they might
From the website

You work all day, pay bills, eat salads and do all that other grown-up stuff; your “fun” shouldn’t be limited to trendy bars with long lines, dress codes and drinks you can’t pronounce.
Inner child, meet BARCADIA…’50’s pin-up girls on the walls, The Cure playing in the background, JENGA made out of 2x4’s on the patio, and an entire wall of ‘80s ARCADE GAMES for a quarter. Oh wait...SKEEBALL machines, 5' tall CONNECT FOUR, AIR HOCKEY, POP-A-SHOT, aaaaaand lest we forget....44 CRAFT BEERS on tap.
Our waitstaff is as friendly as pecan-pie, and check out our face-melting, award winning Curbside gourmet burgers [comingsoon!]. Only thing missing is a nap-time towel...because you may not want to leave this place.
