New Belgium Brewing (Fat Tire) coming to Louisiana April 1

Sorry if already posted but I searched and couldn't find any threads on it.
I was at The Londoner yesterday talking with a salesman for Mockler and he confirmed. Also confirmed by CJ at Calandros on Perkins. Sure there are probably better beers out there but it is exciting that we will finally be able to purchase this here in LA.
Edited to add: Sorry, after doing a little more searching I see there was a thread on this already in December. Oh well...still

Wow. I had no idea that Fat Tire was never available in Louisiana. It's sold all over Texas.
Fat Tire is a decent beer.

The above statement can be made true by filling the blank with MANY beers.

Yeah. There's been a couple of threads on it.
Some turned their nose up because New Belgium won't roll out their entire platform at first, so it's somehow a loss for Louisiana.
I, personally, think it's a step in the right direction. I compare New Belgiums core products to Abita, decent not great(although I prefer NB).
What I take from this, is that it will have New Belgium distributing in LA and will allow me to put personal requests in to get my distributor to bring in some Lips of Faith series. So I'm

Dear Lord. You poor people. THIS needs its own government program. Getting good beers over there. What other decent/good beers are you deprived of that I am not aware?
I understand that if I am in Crowley my selections may be limited, but I thought if I were in New Orleans or BR the sky would be the limit.

You'll be more excited about the other beers that New Belgium brews.

Fat Tire is a good amber beer.

I agree. I'd put it ahead of Abita Amber, Shiner, and Tin Roof Amber. Not NOLA brown though.
I'm really excited about hopefully being able to obtain some of the Lips of Faith series
La Folie, FTW

For starters:
Dogfish Head
Breckenridge Brewing
Boulevard Brewing
Alaskan Brewing

it would be much easier to list the breweries that do come to LA, than to list the ones that don't

True.
I didn't like being away from the family while working projects in Texas, but I enjoyed the beer and stocking up at Specs on the way home.

Tell them to keep on coming and bring it to Mississippi while they are at it.

why would anyone be this excited for Fat Tire?
Posted on 2/1/13 at 9:10 am to Tiger Ryno
why would anyone not get excited about more options?
Posted on 2/1/13 at 9:16 am to Salmon
I agree more options is a good thing, but Fat tire is run of the mill stuff...on par with Shiner I mean I drink Shiner, its not bad stuff but its not flip your lid cartwheel in the courthouse worthy

New Belgium makes more than just Fat Tire...

Same reason everybody got excited to get Canebrake. Something new I guess.
