I thought it would be good to share since we've all been guilty of one or more of these mistakes, mine as recently as last night, which is why I found the page in my research just now.

I am guilty of way more of those than I expected.

Oh! So those are mistakes. That explains a lot.

I'm only guilty of 9 and 16 and I'll keep doing it:

9. You're casual about measuring.

Yes, and my eye ball is 100% accurate. Why measure?

16. You don't use a meat thermometer.

Nope. I know when the meat is done. I'm over 60 and I've never missed yet.

#1 "You don't taste as you go"

<-- has NEVER and will never be guilty of this

What I have been guilty of:

#10 "You overcrowd the pan" been there, done that
#12 "You turn the food too often" not as much lately, though
#31 "Your green veggies turn brown" I do tend to overcook due to neglect of the side dishes

Disclaimer: there would be many more on this list but for one thing; I don't bake, make deserts, or make anything more than a common salad.

The bacon one. My bacon looks like Robert Redford's skin. Never tried baking it.

Also helpful pointer on how to boil an egg. It should be the easiest thing, right?

#10 is my kryptonite when I'm going for stew or a vegetable beef soup. At least those two dishes are more forgiving of not getting the nice brown crust that I try for. I look at all the meat I have to brown and convince myself that I can do it in two batches instead of three.

I'm wrong. Every. Single. Time. And my pot looks exactly like the one in that picture.

The ones I make the most are over-softening butter, cookies gain unwanted width, blueberries take a dive, and turn food/meat too often.
