How much do actors get paid in a movie like Movie 43?

Just seeing the previews, it seems like almost every actor in Hollywood has a role and I'm trying to understand how that's possible and still maintain a plot. Is it 43 subplots?

yeah id like to see how they tie up the racist basketball coach with chloe moretz's first period and kate bosworth's penis mutilator

Pete Farrelly just wrapped up an AMA about the movie on reddit. I think he said 12 stories and they do all tie in at the end.
I find it hard to believe the budget was only 6 million dollars though like he said. It seems like half of that has been spent on advertising

I bet the shooting schedule was so tight that it didn't consume a whole lot of the actors' time. Once they had a few on board it became an "everybody who is anybody is doing it" so people wanted in at whatever rate they were getting.

Maybe, but I don't think they're generally paid that way. I know on those Shrek movies some of the actors finished up their voice stuff in no time and got paid bank.

For some reason I feel ashamed to admit that I'll probably end up watching this friday.

It'll probably be funny but I have no desire to go to a movie theater to watch this one. Just seems like the type of environment I would rather avoid.

Trust me, I hate hooliganism in a theater as much as you. I'll catch the 2:30pm showing.

It's like the New Year's Eve movie they did.. the Valentine's Day movie they did.. and now this one.
They all suck. They just get a bunch of big name stars together and make a crappy movie.

Those movies are just failing at being Love Actually. This movie doesn't seem to be like that.

I think they shot it over a couple of years as everyone had free time here and there. I'd bet most, if not all the actors, took the minimum salary the union would allow them to take on a studio movie. If it's not a studio movie, they probably did it for next to nothing. Like you said, "hey, so and so's doing it, so I will too."

Shot over 3 and a half years and a big draw for many of the actors was that it was their first shot a doing raunchy obscene things on camera.

Fun, raunchy stuff in a relatively "safe" way - I could see that. Image buster.

Here the Terrence Howard basketball coach sketch. It's not bad. From the preview's I've seen, that sketch didn't look like it was gonna be the funniest one anyway.
