I get his point, but I have to disagree. Chad Jones is the kind of guy who would get major props here. The Rant can be harsh, but is generally fair to a guy who works hard and produces. A few outliers might have criticized him, but his self-esteem would not take a hit here.

I don't think you do get his point. All the bashing is hurtful to the program. Period.

Did you just tell us that you better know how Chad's self-esteem would be affected than he does? Chad already established that this place would have been bad for him. How in the world can you legitimately say that it wouldn't have?

And I get what you are saying, but who's to say that Chad's self esteem doesn't take a hit when he reads a constant barrage of insults onto his teammates, his friends? He may consider himself a mentor to some of the younger players who are getting bashed and takes their perceived hatred as a personal failure.

I understand that on the rant, people should be able to rant. Fine, no argument there. But saying that you better know how an individual would react to an onslaught of insults than they do is absolutely absurd and shows a complete lack of grasp on reality. The ego on some of you is insane.

Chad may or may not have gotten mean comments, but boy he is surely right about how harsh some people on here are. There is certainly no "lack of immaturity" of on the part of some who post comments. Most of you are great, but those who are really mean know who you are.

But thars just it. Would just take one day reading the board while he was a student and i bet at least one person was bashing him or calling him a bust. Hes one of the more loved tigers, but every player has their share of fans that turn on them.

Claiborne is a prime example. Did nothing wrong, yet when his wonderlic scores came out some so called fans just bashed the guy and called him illiterate.
