People that watched LOST, was this a more enjoyable conclusion than what you got in LOST?
It's Lost and it's not even close for me. I loved Fringe, but I don't think I've ever been so invested in a show as I was with Lost. And I know a lot of people hated the ending, but I thought it was ridiculously fantastically good.
Also, what is the significance of the tulip at the end with Peter? I've seen a couple people mention it as something for God or whatever, but I disagree with that. Also, I know it was a sign for Walter in an earlier episode to sort if ground him..but Peter didn't know that right? So him getting the tulip wouldn't mean anything to him, especially once the timelines reset and he didn't remember stuff.
ETA: And that's not taking anything away from Fringe, because it was an awesome finale. I loved how they referenced so many things from the past and got closure on a lot of different relationships. Definitely one of the better finales ever.

So Peter's facial expression before the screen went black - are we to assume that means he remembered everything?

No. It was more a quizzical "hmmmm" IMO. But you know he will go to the lab and find the tape Walter made for him in the next day or so and he'll know what happened.

I must admit there was a part of me that woulda liked to see her launch that bullet at him and killed him with a head shot. Mostly because I think seeing him with that chain hanging out of his forehead woulda been AWESOME.
Yeah, that was what I figured was going to happen, and it would have been awesome.

I think memories definitely came back to Peter when he saw the tulip

Remember it is also only 1 of 2 things that survived the original timeline reset in season 3... peter is the 2nd thing. The more I think about it, the more I think THAT is the reason he sent it to peter, after that all he has to do is go see the tape and I think he could possibly remember things.

Maybe the Box Set will give us some extras.

Perhaps there will be a piece on there called "Gene: A Life Before Amber".

Just a couple of my own thoughts after reading this thread.
1) Olivia killed Windmark, not Michael.
2) Peter remembered everything after seeing the tulip.
3) Michael stepped off the train so Olivia would later be able to kill Windmark.
4) September and December never exist now because of Walter and Michael's trip to the future.

September and December were part of the first Observers sent to observe the past prior to the new Observers destroying emotion/love/etc. IMO, they still existed, still visit the past, but since Michael and Walter show up to the scientist in the future, the future Observers never remove emotions. They see that Michael is better than what they were planning on creating.
I would love to know what becomes of the new Observers (and the future in general) once they start making them all like Michael.

I don't think so. That just showed the audience that Walter was letting Peter know he was OK and we know he's going to find the goodbye tape in a day or so.

Michael seemed pretty lame. So much ability but all he ever did was stare at people.

Don't forget about popping the blood vessel in Windmark's eye as well!

But Peter never had anything to do with the tulip though, right? So him getting that randomly wouldn't jog anything in his mind...it would just be like "WTF is this shite?" for Peter.
I asked that at the top of this page, but all of you assholes ignored it.
