Are you an LSU fan too? I'll pay vast sums of money to see my college allegiance, my Falcons/Braves allegiance is capped at like 200 bucks though.

No, I am not an LSU fan. Y'all are just proving what we're saying about Falcons fans.

I like NOLA so I'm not going to argue the city point too much, but Atlanta is a far more "major" city, if less fun.

i didnt go to the braves one game playoff because i was going to the uga/south carolina football game that weekend. does anyone have any opinions on that choice of personal preference i made (besides a joke about uga getting raped)?

I don't know what you say about Falcons fans. What I know is that the Saints fans generally mirror Falcons fans.
I don't know about the other guy, but I'm not even pretending to be a devout Falcons fan. I watch the Falcons weekly, I go to a few games a year, but I don't connect with pro sports in the way I do college allegiance. If the idea is that you're a better Saints fan than I am a Falcons fan, I'm guessing you're right. But, I do object to the idea that the Saints are bandwagon-free while the Falcons nation rose up this afternoon.

No, Seattle was an awesome team. It's a big win for ATL but they came out flat and dug themselves into too deep of a hole. Pete Carroll made some baffling decisions today

Who cares? All of the culture of it was burned down 150 yrs ago and it's full of transplants now. Even in terms of being a major city, it's really unimpressive.

I'll never understand that 2nd quarter 4th down call. They take the points, Seattle wins IMO.

acgeaux meet rockchlk, rockchlk meet acgeaux

The transplants seem to like it, which is why us, Dallas and Houston are likely the new primary destination cities. If you're a corporation, you're coming to Atlanta, not NOLA. If you're trying to have a fun weekend, clearly that is reversed.
I'm pretty honest about the faults of Atlanta, I'm just not game for dumb negative hyperbole about one of the hotter cities in the country.

I agree, you posted this a couple days ago.

@darrenrovell:many tickets still on secondary market for SEA at Falcons on SUNDAY. Get in price should be around $25 by kickoff.

I definitely am. The Saints saw a huge surge after Brees arrived and you became competitive. Katrina was obviously a rallying point as well. But prior to these incidents, your fan support was pretty sad. The upsurge was reinforced in 2009.
Smith and the Falcons are basically in the same mode now. We had typical mediocre fan support which has now led to pretty high demand with more prolific players and better results. Getting over the hump in the playoffs, especially if that continues, will likely put us in a pretty similar place.
