i dont have to pay for the ticket. i believe i said gas and parking. i have no source of income. i value going out and having a great time in athens 10 times versus traveling to the divisional playoff game on a sunday morning. that's just my opinion. other people (like yourself) might approach it differently and that's cool too.

You'd rather go to a bar in Athens instead of going to watch your "favorite team" in the playoffs?

Awesome.

Matt Ryan did not play well today. I'm sorry if you disagree but if the Seahawks could have stopped the run, they win

i dont really disagree. if games are obviously stupid though. if matt ryan doesnt throw a shitty deep ball that gets picked off and we score on that drive, the game would never have been close. we can go back and forth on hypotheticals for days.

You guys have had a 500% increase in "fanship" since Brees arrived, and you're criticizing individuals on a message board for not going to a playoff game? Seriously?

Your hypothetical also involves Matt Ryan sucking.

the cheapest ticket for a playoff game in New Orleans since Brees arrived is about $150. most of the time more. Compare the 2 and get back to me

no id rather do it 10 times though. which is my bullshite estimation of equal costs. you guys are way better fans than me. i assume you have all been saints season ticket holders for 10+ years and been to every game because you are so bad arse.

YEP. that appears to be the case. What are you arguing about? Literally nothing. You are just having a douche-off over who's personal preferences are superior.

I won't deny that I'd appreciate the recent surge in Saints popularity here in Atlanta. Of course, there is a lot more going on here, but I don't really want to rely on the Miami excuses for fan behavior.

That said, pretending that NOLA is full of devout and unwavering sports fans is ridiculous. When I started school at an SEC school, I knew one serious Saints fan (2002). When I finished, half of my fraternity was clinging to the Saints. Anecdotal, obviously, but I imagine a lot of others experienced the same. Atlanta is likely to benefit from success in the same manner as you guys.

No, I'm saying that if I had to choose between going to shitty college bar vs watching the Saints in the playoffs from the Superdome. I'm taking the latter.

Yeah, I paid $300 for a playoff ticket in 2009, as a college student with no real income.
