Inspired by the segment on Sportscenter today, who has has the most successful career and who has had the most influence?
If not for his slutty ways, I'd probably say Tiger.
Most successful has to be Kobe. All dem rings and He's still at the top of his game while Lewis is retiring, Tiger is struggling and Jeter is on the decline

Most influence Kobe.

Ehhh didn't see the question as most influence in their respective sports.

No matter how you define success Tiger is #1.

Kobe is the best now kinda by default. He's at least 3 years younger than the rest. To hold the others' decline against them is kinda dumb, Kobe will be there in a few years.
Plus he and Jeter both have 5 rings.

No he's not. He's declined noticeably in the last 3 years or so.

True for Tiger but then Lewis and Jeter are older for their sports.

he's averaging 30ppg on 48% FG and 5 boards and 5 assists. if his team ever came to play like him they would be top 3 in the west.

The thing that really matters is games played, not age IMO. Counting playoffs, Olympics, etc., Kobe has probably played close to 19 seasons of basketball. His athletic and defensive declines are noticeable, but he could probably average 20ppg on 45% shooting til he's 40. If he wants to play, he'll still be a top player at 37.
Lewis' longevity is remarkable for a football player. How many non specialists have played 17 years with that much success? Favre? Emmitt? Any others?
