You seem to be experienced with Louisiana food. What is your top in each category?

They certainly have the most overpriced link in the state thats for sure. I find it to be pretty average.

I know way more about cooking than eating out, I can tell you my crawfish are better than either of the ones on your list

I feel like Cochon's boudin is too clean. I know that sounds weird but I feel like it should almost taste a little dirty. It's hard to describe. Don't get me wrong, I love it but there are better.
If you are in Lafayette, you aren't far from Billy's or Don's Meat Market. Both are in Scott and both are fantastic.

If you're in the French Quarter and want to try a poboy, my favorite is Johnny's PoBoys at 511 Saint Louis Street. Get there between 10:30am and 11am to avoid the big line. I like the Johnny's Special.

Any chance of anyone wanting to map all these spots so if you are out driving around and get in once of these areas with the best of something you can stop and eat...
Posted on 1/10/13 at 10:19 am to wickowick
The mapped points could be numbered with the corresponding restaurant/store name and specialty listed on the side. Great idea.

Lafayette does a lot of things right that New Orleans can't do but I would not put poboys up there. I can find better poboys in Baton Rouge than in Lafayette in my opinion. And even better in New Orleans obviously.
