may not be the greatest scene of all time but the greatest tracking shot scene would be from the children of men movie. <<<<<<<<<<<(spoiler)>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> when the baby is taken and then found again during the uprising lasts 6min 18 seconds no cuts.

I think my favorite single scene in a movie is the final charge in Braveheart

One of my favorite movies scenes is in 'V for Vendetta' when (SPOILER) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Natalie Portman's character realizes that her imprisonment and death sentence were fake and she is taken outside to feel the rain.

In a movie filled with excellent scenes, I always go back to the assassination of Sollozzo and McCluskey at the Italian restaurant in The Godfather.
I love everything about it. The fact that the conversation between Michael and Sollozzo has no subtitles. The small bit of doubt I had when it seemed Michael can't quite find the gun. Pacino's eyes. The building sound of the train as the scene reaches the climax. The way Michael subtly deviates from Clemenza's advice. How McCluskey gets shot. And the gun flip as he leaves the restaurant.
Just a powerhouse scene and one that I can always watch over and over again.

I loved the opening in Django Unchained. Thought it was one of the better scenes in recent memory (since Inglorious Basterds)
