This. I'm really weirded out by the Shep thing. It's almost like an overnight transformation from a beloved figure that people were grateful for and somewhat sympathetic of, to a hated figure. The problem is I can't figure out what he has done to be subjected to this.

He was never going to be a QB. He is a good athlete who can run with the ball though, and he had less than 30 rushes the past two seasons. It was pretty obvious he was never going to be a real downfield threat at WR either.
He was a utility guy out of the backfield, or should have been.

But most colleges recruited him at WR, which is where LSU invested most of his time after he didn't work out at QB.
He's not exactly built like an every down back. I agree that he should have gotten a handful of carries a game which he didn't for some reason, but it was clear after his sophomore year that he wasn't the type of player everyone thought he would be out of HS, which is OK. He still graduated and will get his shot in the league.

Why should he stop tweeting? He was lied to by Miles and he was used terribly. He has done nothing but bleed purple and gold despite this. Find another 4 year player with over 160 touches from scrimmages with a 7.9 yard per touch average. I'd guess D'Anthony Thomas will be after 4 years. May be only one.

Wow. He really seems to be saying he made a mistake coming to LSU.
I think Shep LOVES LSU, hates the offense he played in. He's right, he would have had a far better chance. Unfortunate, I wish it would have happened. He should have transferred, it would have been best for him personally, regardless of his love for LSU.
