Foreshadowing in the Hobbit (Spoiler)

I'm sure there are many sharp-eyed viewers among us, so maybe you did notice this. I did on my second viewing.
Gandalf's staff is different in Fellowship of the Ring than in the Hobbit.
I'm sure a lot of you caught that.
But did you notice that the staff he is using in that movie belongs to Radagast the Brown in the Hobbit?
Something will happen to Radagast in the forthcoming two movies that will cause Gandalf to assume his staff. Perhaps some act of sacrifice that Gandalf feels he should honor?

I noticed that Bilbo took a ring that Gollum was calling precious. I have a feeling that is the ring Frodo must destroy in LOTR.

i noticed that this guy they called the "necromancer" had powers eerily similar to one Dr. Manhattan. Expect a blue wang crossover in the near future

Perhas this Gollum fellow just really loves rings. What are the chances of this being that one special ring? You know, the type that would rule all others.

Guess I'll need to go see it again.

By the way, the OP's point was actually interesting. I just felt like being a smartass.

Look at what you started though?
Yes that is an interesting concept.
Good catch OP

Great catch. Although, I think that Radagast's staff is different from the one Gandalf wields in FOTR. However, there's no doubt that Gandalf has a different staff in The Hobbit so maybe they will do something along those lines.

I'm willing to say they are close enough that it could be the same one. No, I did not notice that.

My favorite part of the Hobbit is how Gandalf kept counting the party like an exasperated school teacher.
