I eat it on saltines. Another other way to eat it?

I don't eat it but I have heard that Tony's is really legit. All meat and very little gelatin.

Rouse's puts in on a pizza along with smoked sausage. It's pretty good.

I like it with saltines and La. hot sauce. Also like it on a sandwich with mayonaise. Just hog head cheese, bread, and mayo. Sometimes I add a slice to a ham and cheese sandwich along with other cold cuts.

What is the best available? Anything in the supermarkets deemed serviceable?

Manda hogshead cheese is in many supermarkets and I've purchased it a few times in a pinch, and was disappointed each time.
Rouses's has a store brand that's good.
It's more of a small or country store type product. There are several small stores around Lafayette that sell good head cheese.

Creole COuntry Brand is really good. LArge chunks of meat in it. Good heat and seasonings.
I'm a crackers kinda guy myself.

Nice! Do you take orders?

Pussay, it is a very good use of the leftovers from a butchered pig. The only part of the pig that is not consumable is the oink. I will bet that you consume sausage, hot dogs, and a host of other things that are made with the same or similar body parts of an animal.
