I don't want Stud here any longer either, but Alleva intervening is not the answer. It's Miles' program, not Alleva's.

Also, Alleva sucks.

Champagne, I respectfully disagree. While I think Miles has the ability to get them back to elite status IF HE APPLIES HIMSELF, I think he has gotten content and complacent.

There is no progress...there is no drive...there is no attention to detail, no discipline and no organization that I can see.

I did. I was 100% behind Miles, even after the 1/9 loss. I called it a fluke. I was behind him after the Florida and Bama loss this year. Fine, two top 5 teams we barely lost to. Now losing to fricking Clemson similar to the same fashion that you just lost to Bama!? bullshite, thats 100% shitty coaching. Has he not learned yet?

frick this, I'm off the Miles bandwagon. I will support him after he wins us another NC. He has lost us several.

Yeah because his job sucks so bad and he is miserable at LSU. I think your wrong. He is a college football coach. Im not sure of a coach that doesnt pay attention to detail and doesnt have the drive and to want to win. Dont get me wrong, I question him sometimes during games with some questionable calls but to say those things I think is a little overboard. You are entitled to an opinion though.

Even if Joe wanted to he couldn't do anything about it. What is he going to do? Talk tough to a coach he just let walk all over him for a raise and a contract extension? Lol.

Joe throws money and a contract extension at him to keep him from going nowhere and now he is supposed to lay down the law about hiring a real OC?

I just don't see it.

I wish I could think of 13 reasons to keep Miles on board at this point, but I just can't, sadly.

Dude, Alleva just gave Miles a raise and an extension.

It might be time for someone to sit down with Alleva and lay down the law to him!

Mrs. Miles did not give Coach Miles the raise and very lengthy contract extension. The University's administrators made that decision.

If you hate the Miles's, then, you problem is with them, not with me or Mrs. Miles (who could probably beat you up in a fight).

Alleva needs to realize the err of his ways and start collecting money to terminate Miles. He needs to let Miles know it too. There has to be a fire lit and accountability mandated.

Who would that be? IS LSU still short on a president and chancellor right now?

In fact Alleva is a vice chancellor as well as AD so he may be his own boss right now for all I know.

shite, you're right.

The only thing Alleva has accomplished is continue to reward Miles and cry about our schedule to the SEC.

Not going to happen for a number of reasons. After the raise and extensions Miles is Allevas man now like it or not. He owns him.

They're not going to put any pressure on Miles as long as the athletic department keeps signing over checks to the university like this year in the multi million dollar range.

I'm not a Miles fan as much as anyone but he's not going anywhere unless he decides to, he won't be asked/forced to leave in the foreseeable future.

We will have to agree to disagree. Coach Miles is exactly the same coach as he was in 2005 and during his time at Oklahoma State, IMHO.

Given this, the LSU administration saw fit to award him a raise and a very lengthy contract extension. To Coach Miles, this is a message that he should keep on doing what he's doing because we like it just fine.

Coach Miles has always APPLIED himself at being the LSU Head Football Coach, and, his efforts have been rewarded by attaining the status of being LSU's most winningest football coach in history.

Of course, Coach Miles is with us when we all say "Let's go undefeated and win it all next year."

But, insofar as your point that Coach Miles can apply himself a bit more and greater success will arise, I will say, "That would be great." But, from what I have seen, he is exactly the same kind of coach as he was at Oklahoma State, so, I'm not sure if he will change.

I agree 100 percent with those who say that, because LSU football is making a lot of money right now, that no LSU admin will offer any advice to Coach Miles.

LSU football is winning games and making lots of money. The "powers that be" and administrators of the University have absolutely no sane reason to critique Coach Miles on any aspect of football.

That's my take. LSU football is Coach Miles. He will be here for many years.

This is the best that it will ever be.

give Miles an ultimatum that he get his arse in gear or he will face certain termination.

Joe Alleva is a frick of a person that I never wanted as our AD. What he did at Duke to the Lacrosse team was deplorable. They were completely innocent, yet he had no spine and fell to a mob with torches in the university, where we should have the strongest of beliefs about our system of justice upheld yet it is there where it has been dying most quickly.

Alleva comes from a Lacrosse school and is a fish out of water when it comes to Big-time college football.

Also, I'd never let him negotiate contracts for me....
