They do frick us at every turn and I refuse to believe the office in Birmingham isn't bias as could be. Don't give a F what anybody says. The office is in the midst of Alabama and LSU doesn't ever get many breaks. I rather be somewhere where we're valued and respected as a top 5 earner in all of College Football.

So LSU will leave the strongest and best conference to play in an inferior conference?

LSU is one of the strongest teams in America. Period.

Alabama has shown success only recently and if history proves anything that trend will decline in time.

No way LSU gets some of the talent it has moving to an inferior conference playing inferior opponents.

It's like ULL dominated their conference and then proclaiming themselves one of the best teams in the nation..it just doesn't work.

Oh goodie! We can move from the Bama Shadow to the Texas Longhorn Shade. Brilliant idea... but no, I don't think so. I do think it might help, though, for Joe Alleva to grow a couple of big ones and a chest, and do some real hard-ball standing up for LSU's interests in the courts of the SEC - and if necessary, the court of national opinion.

LSU should only leave if we have the money to leave. And, we don't! The SEC pays us a small fortune to stay. Now, if I were a middle eastern sultan with trillions , I would give LSU 100 million a year and we'd go to the Big 12. Tell the SEC to go eff themselves .

LSU isn't going anywhere, there's just too much money involved.

What we do need to do is come to terms with the reality that the SEC is never going to give us anything that we have not absolutely earned on the field, then we have to go out and earn it. This should drive us in all sports.
Then when we win it all despite all their bullshite we can shove it right back in their faces.

The Oakland Raiders did it to the NFL in the 60's, 70's and 80's and became one of the most celebrated and successful franchises. We need to adopt that same attitude toward the SEC.

Take what they think will weaken us and use it to make ourselves that much stronger.

Not reading this entire thread, but whoever agrees with us leaving the SEC, should go put their dick in a blender.

Maybe Rabalais column will get some of these issues addressed. Screw the SEC until they fix these scheduling issues and properly support all of their member institutions.

The real clusterfrick in all this is the bowl system and their alliances.

If you want a radical idea, leaving the SEC is not it.

Instead, the SEC should move to expand to thirty or so of the highest profile teams in the country, leave the NCAA, then follow the NFL model. Have four team divisions set up were you play everyone in your division once and rotate the others. This would keep the schedule at twelve games and maintain the annual rivalries.

Now comes the fun part. Screw the bowls and have a twelve team playoff, again according to the NFL playoff model with a "College Superbowl".

I agree.

LSU will ALWAYS play 2nd fiddle to bama in the conference. Bama has an unfair advantage and many retard fans can't recognize it.

frick the SEC.

How about putting up a fight and calling out Slive and the SEC before pondering any drastic steps. Seems we've been too quiet about this.
