I damn near had a religious experience at a show last night and I'm concerned that I'm losing it.

One of my favorite songs by my favorite songwriter who almost NEVER plays Texas. I should probably just retire from shows because I'm pretty sure nothing will ever top this guy.

Sean McConnell- Reckless Love

I can't recall the last time I cried, and I doubt I still can.

My all-time favorite because I got to see her live.

Ball & Chain - Janis Joplin

I'm not even kidding when I say this, but Bone Thugs Crossroads used to make me cry like a little bitch, every time.

Bela Fleck & the Flecktones - Sunset Road

When I saw them at the House of Blues in N.O. last year, it was pretty much a religious experience.

I don't think any performances have until I saw Pearl Jam this year at Music Midtown. There were several moments mainly because it was my first time to see them.

Black gets me a lot when I hear it. My son went to the show with me, and I would hold him up during his favorite songs. I was holding him on my side during Black, and we sang the "I know someday you'll have a beautiful life....." part to each other. I know that I had tears streaming by that point.

I cried when I saw Les Miserables in 1988 at the Kennedy Center when this song was sung:

"I Dreamed A Dream"

Driving to court yesterday I listened to this and found myself crying:

The Pretenders "I'll Stand By You"

This can get me:

REM "Everybody Hurts"

Then again, there is a lot of music moves me to tears.

Not me personally, but Fleetwood Mac drummer Mike Fleetwood was crying during this performance.

I'm not a crier, but sometimes songs make my hair stand on end.

Karen O's voice does it to me all the time.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KH9_lresvCs So many U2 / Bono haters out there and a cover to boot. And it doesn't make me cry. But frick it. It's still pretty good IMO.
