I've been here a few years and have seen quite a few things. Never posted a whole lot. However, this is something to keep your eye on.
Turnpike - A Tornado Warning
Travel Ball dad checking in. My 13 year old plays for an organization under our high school team. It works out well because our team has some of the varsity players helping out, teaching our kids their drills that they work in practice.

As far as the travel culture, I like our group of parents. What I don't like is those parents out there that think their kid is going to be the next Mike Trout.

Footsteps by Pearl Jam. Gets me every single time I hear it. Haunting is the one word I use to describe it.

Why'd I want a caravan that's got no frickin' wheels on it?!?!
There's a blog called What's Left of Birmingham . Check it out. This guy breaks into abandoned buildings in Birmingham and photographs them. Fascinating stuff.
Loved them for a couple of years now.
I walked home from Spain Park to Alabaster. About 19 miles, took me right at 5 hours.

This is stupid.
There was a game.....maybe the 99 or '00 Vandy game, that I'll never forgive him for. We were tied with 45 seconds left, at our own 40 or so with all three timeouts, and he killed the clock to send it to OT. Vandy won it.

This was when Vandy was Vandy, and pretty much a given W on the schedule. I still haven't gotten over it.
Let the Records Play struck me as a country feel the first couple of times I heard it.
I'm liking it more. It's still growing on me, though.
Lightning Bolt > Infallible > Pendulum is an incredible 13 minutes. That's the highlight of the album to me, what a sequence.
Got the album for Christmas. Listened through about three times, and I'm hooked to it. Definitely grown on me, even the Ed solo type songs.

Title track is probably my favorite.

So jealous of your screen name.
I first heard Safe and Sound on Pandora about 9 months ago. Got the album when it came out, and was very pleased with it.
That's not his wife. I graduated high school with his wife. She was a cheerleader with the Falcons while he was there.
