Homeland isn't at the level it was last year, but it's still better than Boardwalk. I like both.

I want to start Homeland. Is it like 24?

I think I would enjoy Homeland more than Boardwalk empire just from reading the premise.

Homeland season 1 is as good as any season of boardwalk
Homeland season 2 has kinda dropped and seems to be lacking a real direction, unlike boardwalk. This last season of boardwalk was phenomenal and this last season of homeland not so much.

I just finished the first season of Boardwalk Empire and it was really really good. I am one episode into the second season. Homeland will be my next show.

I agree. There seems to be an increasing number of eye rolling moments in Homeland this season. The first season was great, but given the premise of the show, I can't see how it goes on for more than three seasons. They have to wrap up the story arc definitively to be credible and I hope they do that.

The fact most people say homeland, lets you know it's boardwalk

I've only watched the first episode of Homeland so far (which was very solid, but not amazing and made me rush back to watch the next), but I have a hard time seeing how they could realistically have more than one season with the premise.
Boardwalk is very good, I'd put it right behind Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, and Justified as some of the best drama/action on TV at the moment.

By breaking the rules and just throwing stuff in the perpetuate the story. Everyone is a triple, quadruple spy who has an ulterier motive.
They sort of play the audience too much
Edit: to put it briefly the writing is just sort of all over the place on homeland as they have to pull stuff from their asses to continue the story
