So what does this mean for coach SP?

Nothing has changed. The NFL threw the organization under the bus even harder because they let the players off.

And still, we have seen zero evidence of this "organizational misconduct"!

Nothing whatsoever. Did you read the statement?

Payton is the fall guy.

It means notbing for SP. This ruling does notsay the bounty system was never in place, it just put the blame on the coaching staff and the organization, not on the players.

So how does one get suspended for an entire year with no pay and not have the ability to sue after being falsely accused?
Posted on 12/11/12 at 12:53 pm to Chet Manley
Who was falsley accused? Are you talking about Vilma?
Posted on 12/11/12 at 12:55 pm to LSUfan4444
Well, I have the impression that this was all based off of "he said, she said" and considered as fact by Goodell. What exactly did CSP do again? 'If he didn't know, he should have known'? CSP was the fall guy, but can't he do anything about it?

The rulings are to make us feel as if we won. Unless they return 2nd Rd draft pick and give us few more and allow Payton on the field, they got the best of us. Looking forward to 2013 season! WHO DAT!?!

Tagliabue confirmed evidence that Vilma and company engaged in conduct detrimental....
He just didn't find enough evidence that the players put money up and were ringleaders as perviously stated. Tagliabue finds that the system was still in place, but it was not being run and instituted by the players but rather the coaching staff that was lead by Sean Payton.

Not going to happen. They penalized the organization for something the organization did that was against the rules. All today did was keep the penalty on the organization and remove it from the players.

You seem to think this is 100% fact.
Read through the stickied thread. The NFL fcked this up and believed what two former coaches said. Onced they realized one or both were lying, it was too late to back track.
This is just a case of the NFL now covering their arse the best they can. That press release was pure garbage and makes no sense.

He has the ability to sue, but not the motivation. If Payton wants to have one of only 32 jobs in the world in the future, he has to play ball.

No, not at all. What you or I think is 100% fact is irrelevant. The leage believes they have enough evidence and now multiple people who have reviewed the evidence concur that there is evidence of an illegal "bounty" system. That's all that matters because we are talking about their findings.
There findings are that there was an illegal system, but the players are not to blame.

The NFL spent 3 years investigating the illegal bounty story yet it takes players to participate in an illegal bounty program not the Coaches/front office. So if there wasn't enough evidence to prove the players participated in the illegal bounty program then how can the NFL say there was a bounty program in place.

The league never said such a thing. In fact, Tagliabue said the exact opposit. He said he did find evidence that Vilma and co participated in conduct detrimental to the league, BUT that isn't why they were suspended. Vilma go the full year because he allegedly put up $10k...something Tagliabue could not find enough evidence to back up, thus the suspencion was lifted.
He isn't saying $10k wasn't put up, just that Vilma didn't do it.
