I'm sure this has been covered in this thread but we didn't want your damn coach. He is good for LSU, he would be bad for Arkansas. Every well-informed fan knows this and we were NOT excited about the possibility of this happening...as small as it was.
ETA: Has nothing to do with thinking we're too good. LSU fans are sure funny to talk about that, though.

Awesome! Of course with the illustrious coaching history of Arky (e.g., Nutt and motorcycle douchebag), I can't blame Arky fans for not wanting Miles. Y'all should really just reup John L. He's a good fit.

After watching this go down and hearing what both sides (AD/CLM) have said, I don't think it's out of the realm of reason to say that Les did his old bud a favor while helping himself to raise by giving the job search a jumpstart in the press.
Seriously, would anyone be talking about Arky's next coach after 8 mos of John L and a faltering program if a big name coach hadn't been rumored to be moving in ? Whether you like CLM or not,his name brings weight to an issue and many mid-tier coaches are paying attention to who else is being considered for the job, the big name helps the AD attract candidates and the money, although false, adds fuel to the fire.

Why would any other fanbase not want Les Miles as their head coach? He has had unparalleled success at LSU. Could he reproduce that success elsewhere? Maybe not to the level he has, but I think the Miles formula is a winning one wherever he may go.
