His 3-3 record against Saban illustrates how hopelessly psyched out he is.

Not sure it's really an obligation, but this team definitely played way below expectations this year and coughing up more money at this point for CLM doesn't sit well. No way he was going to AR so this feels more like extortion than compensation for a "good" season.

You don't follow the offseason or injury reports very closely, I take it?

You expect better than that v elite teams?

It's not about my expectations. However I do believe that there have been cases where we've lost games against elite teams that we could have won. This year's Bama game is a good example. I believe we were the better team. The game seemed to have been coached from the standpoint that Bama was better but we could win if we got lucky. All we had to do was line up and play our game and we win. It was a miscalculation. I know...nobody's perfect and I don't expect perfection. It's just that sometimes Les can't seem to get out of his own way.

Is there a coach with a demonstrably better record v the best?

No idea and I'm not sure why it's even relevant.

Can't speculate...but there some random reasons.
1. My life sucks
2. My wife/gf is cheating on me
3. My career (for people who do have jobs!) sucks
4. My dog barks at me
5. I can't have three square meals
6. I suck at everything
7. I'm a bandwagon fan
8. I'm suicidal
9. I was born in 2003

The only thing I look up to to make my life better is when LSU wins a National title and shite, when that doesn't happen, the coach sucks, the players suck and the whole world sucks.

But by all means, let's bring back Curly and pray for 5 wins. You failed to mention that maybe the fact that we had shitty talent in those days MIGHT have been his fault.
Not once have I implied bring back Curly nor have I mentioned fire Les, but he is not worth the money we pay him and if the nega-tigers are right we will be stuck with a huge buy-out for an above average to good coach. This team and teams in the past play for the man but dont ever underestimate your surroundings with everyone in the SEC closing the gap.

Jesus Christ - some of you need to seek serious, professional help with your Saban obsession/delirium man love. Miles is a winner. He did an incredible job this year with what he had on the roster. Next year is going to be even better. If don't see that or don't believe it...go cheer for another team. You will not be missed.

look back at who we interviewing for the job after saban left.. or better yet Saban told our AD that his replacement should be Houston Nutt.

I dont have a man crush on Saban, but since you have brought it up, Saban is better at winning Championships. Les Miles has been at LSU going on 8 years and has one title. Saban has been at Bama for 5 and has one 2 titles. Quit giving Miles a pass he inhereted top flght talent and won a championship. Unfortunately he has yet to win a championship under his program. The people with the Saban man crush is the posi-tigers because that seems to be the only defense when someone suggest Miles is not an elite coach.

Big deal if that's who Saban suggested what does it have to do with where we are today. I know Bertman hired Miles but I doubt Miles was the #1 man they were after, its who they settled for as the next best candidate.

Happy with Miles, but feel he did not deserve a raise. That is what I am unhappy with.

If we fired Miles, with his record, what decent coach would take the job? If you lose 3 games in a year, you're gone?

I've accepted CLM and glad he's staying. Don't give a damn about the raise ... doesn't affect me. I don't like when we underperform against weaker opponents. I don't like it when we get outplayed, even when we win. Most recent example ... Ole Miss outplayed us. That should not have happened. I don't like being down to Towson at home in the 2nd qtr. I don't like snatching defeat from the jaws of victory vs. Bama. I don't like it when he simultaneously scratches his arse and picks his nose on national TV vs. TAMU. I especially don't like it when he digs in his ear on national TV after a retarded fake FG attempt vs. Bama. I am still trying to figure out how the frick we manage to get -3 yards on a 4th and inches vs. Arky ... and why the hell we tried a toss sweep. But, other than that ... I'm happy with Miles. But ... since you asked .... yeah, yeah ... I know ... DIAF and all that. Got it.

To whom? Please be specific.

For the record, I've got us winning 11 in the regular season.

Since Saban cleaned house and got the ball rolling in 2008, he has won 89.4% of his games and 2 national titles.

I distinctly remember the LSU fan base turning him BEFORE the NFL talk picked up steam (bc we had a lot of attrition and weren't as good as 2003). I believe that was part of the reason he bolted when he did, yet it seems 90% of LSU fans are in denial they played a role in Saban leaving.

That's why this fanatical Miles love makes no sense to me. In that same time Miles winning percentage is 78.4% with 0 national titles.

Basically, the fanbase partially brought this 2nd class program on itself and the sunshine pumpers would never admit it. Had Saban stayed we'd probably have 2-4 more national titles.
