Why has this movie been so panned (no pun)? I always enjoyed it as a kid. Bangarang!

Great movie. My wife and I still watch it from time to time and of course my little girl loves it.

Not to mention one of my favorite soundtracks.

Hook is one of my all time favorites.

To the skateboarding stuff, that makes sense if you look at it as a modern day Pan, not a 19th or 20th century pan.

I still like it but I wonder if I would have ever enjoyed it as much had I seen it as an adult first.

It has a bunch of great ideas and Dustin Hoffman is great as Hook but overall it feels a bit hollow due to tonal shifts.

The entire attack on the pirate ship at the end is a mess and even as kid I was put off at how silly the kids weapons are when the pirates are willing to stab them in the chest.

Again, I still like the movie, but it really should have been much better considering the talent involved.

Because it was a cheesy kid's movie. But, you know, imo, it's probably the best Peter Pan movie ever made. It is a staple of childhood in America.

I was in my 30's when it came out. I remember being very disappointed in it then but feel favorably about it now.

Baloo is right about the way the lost boys are portrayed. The pirates are all great but those kids were just silly.
