Very insightful post. Your knowledge of past LSU football and is vast array of championships, 11 win seasons, consecutive bowl appearances, and consistent ranking in the top 10 prior to Miles is stunning. You do realize LSU played football prior to 2000. Try attending LSU from 1990 to 1994, then complain. THESE ARE THE GOOD OLE DAYS! ENJOY THEM!

LSU would have at least three more national championships if Steve Spurrier were the coach.
Four or five more if Saban hadnt fricked Candy Edwards.

I see a man who's lost 15 games too many.

-Recruits well? check
-Hires great coaches? check
-Runs a consistent program? check
-wins titles? check
-face of college football? check
-winningest coach in SEC? check
-integrity? check
I'm not real sure what exactly fans like the OP want ... Change? Well, if we change, we've got nowhere to go but down considering we're "on top" of the college football world, generally-speaking, and have been on Top for the last 8 years with no apparent end to this run in sight as long as Miles is at the helm.

You will never get the time back it took you to think you were being cute. I really hope you don't have kids you ignored to write this.

You give Spurrier the talent Leslie has and it'd be Katie Bar the Door.

I am growing very tired of Miles haters whose entire argument is comparing him to Saban. Saban ain't EVER coming back..."just so you know...so GET OVER IT!
Moreover, I for one have really come to appreciate and respect Miles Leadership style. On the rare occasion where he publicly loses his impulse control, it is always to protect and respect his players. And his players repay with their respect in return to a level of devotion to team success we have not seen in our lifetime at LSU On the contrary, Saban has major impulse control issues, and many times directed toward his players on the sideline with public humiliation and lack of respect.
Over the long haul, Miles leadership will prove to sustain success here. Saban' s leadership style may create immediate dominance, but in time...will crash and burn.

Please see Texas, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, USC, Florida, etc., etc. Big name schools with much less consistency than LSU.
Miles is a winner and NOBODY gives a presser like LES.

Highest win percentage of any coach in LSU's 120 year history at a time in which our conference is dominating college football.
Not sure why people are eager to dismiss this. If you cant enjoy the past 10 years and be excited about what Miles has done and potential for this program moving forward you need therapy.

How many more if Jimmy Johnson had come to LSU? Or Bobby Bowden? Barry Switzer?
LSU could have a multiple consecutive National Championship string dating back decades. Assuming that Bowden would have found a field goal kicker here, which he could have easily because Lousiana produces the greatest football talent in the country.

Fair enough, but consider this.... Had he won those 15 games, Les Miles would be the greatest coach in the history of football.
Maybe I'm too easy, but my expectations of the LSU head coach is not to be the greatest coach in the history of football. Those expectations are a little unrealistic IMO.
And that doesn't even taken into account the program that he's built that creates legitimate expectations like that from fans like yourself to "win every game." You're doing something right if you are creating those kind of expectations from fans.

It must be hard being a miles hater..... It's got to be hard writing all that fiction.
Make sure I'm correct here. So you would like to get of the coach who currently has us as one of the two biggest names in college football based off of what you THINK another coach MIGHT be able to do with talent that he MIGHT be able to recruit?
Does that sum up your thoughts?
