Anyone have any experience with this brand? A gun shop near me has one with rails, foregrip and a sightmark optic on it for $1200.
Is this a good deal? The base models go for $920

they are supposed to be very well made guns. which model? they make a piston driven one is why i ask.
the rails, foregrip and that particular optic can be had for around 400 depending upon the rails and which optic it is from sm.
i personally have never shot one though, just going off of what i read about in magazines and online.

It is not the piston version. Is paying 1200 worth it you think?

For that price you can probably get a Colt 6720.
Or a Daniel defense M4.

I would give Core 15 some time to develop a reputation before dropping $1k+ on one. You can get a proven battle rifle at the price point you are talking about.

That's not much less than I just paid for my Daniels Defense 300 BO. Not a buy, Imo.

I would wait as well. I know how it is though man, when you want something it's hard to wait. That being said, you surely wouldn't be getting screwed over, I just feel that there are better deals to be had, especially with black Friday coming up. Don't be afraid to purchase a gun online from a REPUTABLE dealer. It's a fear that a lot of people have understandably though.

DD and Colt as most of them said are best prepared out of the box. It really depends all on what you are planning on modifying is what I would say. Be sure to snag the barrel with the 1/7" twist. ;) \m/

My dad picked up a rock river today. I swear being a newbie in the gun market is confusing as hell

Rock river is a badass gun. Very awesome company.

Good but heavy. Not a big deal but a difference.

Take this for what its worth.
I live about an hour from the Core 15 HQ in Ocala. I decided to build one and have purchased the upper, lower and parts kits from them. Sure, I could have found a better deal on the internet, but I wanted to pick it up in person. The fit between the upper and lower is perfect, no slop at all, not that that means all that much.
But the thing that impressed me is the customer service. The trigger guard was missing from my parts kit, I called and they sent me their upgraded trigger guard by noon the next day.
