You that it was originally thought to be an amusement park ride in the middle of the country that was going to stand for like tens years or something like that. IDK Coppola was high or something.

Watch the Making of. As good as the film.
Adaptation of Heart of Darkness set in Nam. Many classic moments.

That's not smoke. That's napalm in the morning.

I know I'll catch hell, but I'm not a huge fan of this. Martin Sheen plays the role well, and Robert Duval's small character is awsome. But I just didn't like where the story went in the end.

quote:+brando was good, even though he fricked up by being too fat to portray the character as intended and being too fricking lazy to memorize his lines.

his improvisation was nothing short of spectacular, though.

Because you're an errand boy, sent by grocery clerks to collect a bill?

quote:I agree with all of this. Besides the invasion, which was one of the best shot war scenes ever, the movie did nothing for me at all.

what the hell happened? After suffering through this for 4 1/2 hrs the final scene of the place blowing up was cut. On comcast, the next program came on at exactly 11:30pm without any explosions or whatever. The boat was slowly backing out and that was it. Was it just this version of the cut of the film or WTF?

Dennis Hopper's line is awesome.
"I know. It's the skulls right?" Or something like that when they pull up to Brando's compound.
