Bold Predictions for the season's stretch

I say if we win 2/3 of the Falcons, 49ers, or Giants games, we make it to the playoffs and outright win the last wildcard spot.

That is kinda bold

I'm really nervous about the Seahawks easy schedule down the stretch.

People also need to remember they were given a fricking victory.

Really think the Saints must go 6-1 in the last 7 to have a chance. With Seattle's schedule, 9-7 likely won't get it done.
Those losses to KC and Carolina really hurt. Especially the former given how shitastic the Chiefs are.

Probably depends on who we lose to as well. I would think all losses are not created equal when it comes to playoff positioning.

OK i just took a look at the Seahawks schedule and it is by no means cupcake. They have to go play the Bears in Chicago and they have the 9ers, Cards, and Rams...all 3 of which have beaten them already this year.
They have a bye this week, then head allllll the way to Miami to play the Dolphins. Away games in the NFL are never easy, no matter who you play. 3 time zones difference doesn't help and the Dolphins aren't exactly awful either.
Obviously The Saints just need to keep on keepin on and not drop any more games if possible, but I believe the Hawks are in for a rough second half of the year.

the Saints also blew games against the Chiefs and Panthers...no excuses.

These are good points the more I think about it I see the Seahawks losing 3 maybe 4 more.

Also my optimistic view of our remaining schedule copied from another thread:
Games going forward:
@ Raiders - Hopefully they build off the momentum and bring it to 5-5
vs 49ers - I didn't like this one earlier, but they just lost Alex Smith. That can only help.
@ Falcons - Coin Flip
@ Giants - We seem to have their number and Andy Dalton shredded em last night. What would Breesus do?
vs Bucs - Always tough, and they are a solid team. Coin flip.
@ Cowboys - If we keep playing like we did Sunday, I like us in this game.
vs Panthers - Could be an extremely interesting game to close out the season. Lets hope for a replay of 2011
From behind my black and gold glasses I say if the team continues to perform like they have the past two weeks, then we have a legit shot at running the table, or possibly only dropping 1-2 games.
That puts us anywhere from 11-5 to 9-7. At 9 wins we will probably need some help getting in the playoffs. At 11 wins, we're in.
IMO: If we beat the Giants and SF, then we control our own destiny.

If we can pull off 2 wins out of the 3 game stretch of 49ers, Falcons, and Giants then I like our chances at 10-6

I'm not really sure what this is even supposed to mean. We are penalized for those 2 losses in our L column. They BLEW the game to the Packers and were handed a victory they didn't earn or deserve

Saints go 9-7 or 10-6 with their losses coming to San Francisco and one to either Tampa or New York.

I wouldn't be so sure about SF. Not that Alex Smith is a future hall of famer or anything, but being w/o your starting QB can make a huge difference. If he doesn't play, I say our chances of winning that game are up around the 75% range.
Giants? Aint scared. Bring em on.

I have a feeling that Chiefs game is going to be the backbreaker
That loss stings the most
Saints blew that one
I can live with the other ones - defense not good enough to contain Newton and Panthers, Broncos were just better, Packers was close but no cigar.

Still pissed the way this season started.
Denver is the only loss the Saints really got it handed to them in.

Looking at the schedule and the only games that scare me are the road games to Atlanta and New York. It'll be in December and were not the best cold weather team.

yes keep saying this we have not heard it yet

Basically the Saints need to win out against the NFC South, beat the Raiders, and take 2 of 3 from SF, Dallas and NY.
Since winning the division is nearly impossible at this point, I hope Atlanta goes 14-2, with their second loss to us and then have to face us in Atl for the divisional round.

If we go 11-5, Joe Vitt should win COY. Hell, if we go 10-6, same applies.
No one, and I mean no one could argue with what a great job he would've done in the face of such overwhelming adversity if that happens.
