...i wrote what i wrote bro.

i seriously hope arkansas hires a winning coach. bama and lsu need some serious competition. those two always get accalimed as world beaters, when in fact, they have no other serious contenders in their division. arkansas is pretty much the only team with potential to thwart them, though texas a&m may prove viable in due time.

#1 makes sense other than Jeff Long appears to have no qualms with Gus..

Not to beat a dead horse (guru) but just how do you know this to be true?

...when has gus had a single negative word for the u of a? when he departed from his 1 year stint, he made no negative comments whatsoever. why would jeff long have qualms with gus? long was not even the ad when gus was there.

gus seems to be a class guy. to be layman with the terminology, he does not "run his mouth." never has to my knowledge.

C-USA and the Sun Belt are not the SEC either.

Always funny when someone uses that excuse. "That will never work in the SEC.". Regardless who he had at QB, it worked at Auburn.

Sumlin's offense works.

Get that SEC arrogance out of your head and your life will be much easier.

Ther is no way in hell Gus will get this job. He has absolutely no BOT members in his corner, he has no worthwhile head coaching experience, and he ruffled a lot of feathers when he took the stAte job by crying about us not scheduling them.

Will. Never. Happen.

Ole Miss is 3-2 against the Hogs in the last 5 years and that includes 2 years of your savior Bobby Petrino facing the Nuttster. Bragging rights... You don't have those

Well guru when you say that someone appears to have no qualms with someone else it makes me presume there is a specific reason for such as in they've either commented as such or have some type of past history not just well Gus never said anything bad about the hogs. Seems to me you like to word things in a slightly deceiving or at least odd manner.

I guess you missed the caravan he sent out for recruiting. He basically said the Pigs don't even as courtesy go into small towns within their state etc., he inferred that stAte cares more about home state kids more than UA.

7) Lastly: Cousin Gus is just that in Arkansas, Cousin Gus. He is an Arkansas homeboy. If you check the records, some mighty notable coaches have strong Arkansas ties... Bear Bryant (born and raised), Jimmy Johnson, Barry Switzer, Tommy Tuberville, Frank Broyles, Butch Davis, Charlie Strong, and the list continues... Not too shabby for a little ole' state of only 3 million people.

Add Charlie McClendon to the list !
